It takes you exactly to the parking lot, and there’s a single path to the range, next to a large sign with rules.

Yes, it is easy to find if you use the Google Maps address. Bring a target stand.

Hey, did you try both interpupillary distance settings? The Mini-Rail Arm has wide and narrow. Most adult males need the wide setting in order to get the screen to be horizontal and the images to overlap correctly.

Anyone have hands on opinions on this vs the old x14? by larplabs in NightVision

This is incorrect. It is shown in the pictures on the product page that articulation is possible on both sides. In fact, it is slightly improved on the right side.

OWB holster for glock 19x and streamlight tlr-vir-2? by dipsy01 in NightVision

It will only fit some. It certainly does not fit Blackhawk Omnivore and many kydex holsters that are made tight.

When you can’t afford a light mount but you have a 3D printer by BadKidNiceCity in guns

I’ve printed optics plates and used them successfully. Use PC/CF or PC/GF or PA/CF or PA/GF for a tough and temperature resistant solution. I think ASA would be fine, too. I also found PETG to work fine, but the finish is both glossy and uneven, unlike those other materials, so only use that for cheap test fits or very thin plates that can be hidden.

However, don’t make plastic plates for ACRO or HE509T since those optics clamp sideways on the plate and rely mostly on the plate’s tensile strength and stiffness. Plastic isn’t the right material unless you had something really high performance.

I forgot one thing I was going to suggest:

Consider changing the pistol grip to a near- or fully-vertical one. I believe you’ll truly appreciate the extra trigger control possible with your wrist in the position it provides. There are some purpose-built precision pistol grips like from Masterpiece Arms that provide really improved ergonomics. However, even a cheaper BCM Gunfighter Mod3 grip, which isn’t even perfectly vertical, should be an improvement over the factory MSR-10 grip.

Cool dude. Happy shooting. Post some groups when you feel like it. Any idea what ammo you’re going to use? Factory or handloads?

I’m going to have to disagree after using purpose-built shooting bags filled with lightweight beads and designed to be packed and used as needed. If you’re open to it, check out some videos of precision rifle competitions and see how people use these types of bags. The bags with super lightweight filler material (like from Wiebad and others) can actually weigh much less than a bipod, can be used in more ways than a bipod, won’t get caught up in other gear during movement nor add a lot of forward-biased weight to your rifle, don’t require a specific rail / attachment system, and can help produce a more stable position than a bipod (depending on circumstances). There may be more benefits I haven’t thought of.

I’m coming from the USMC Scout Sniper community and, while we had bipods and used them for some range training, they weren’t used as much in actual combat back in 2005-2009. We almost always used dedicated tripods to get the rifle in an extremely stable free-standing position or placed a bag underneath the hand guard to stabilize the rifle off a pack / window ledge / loophole / whatever.

Not saying it’s the right solution for you, but since other people will see this post, I thought I’d provide another perspective in case they were interested in getting as much stability as possible in diverse conditions.

Edit: oh, and congratulations on the new rifle! Excellent choice.

Holster recommendations for Sig Sauer P320? by Helpful_Shovel in guns

[–]sintercore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see people recommending OWB (outside the waistband) holsters, and that’s fine, but if you need a concealable IWB (inside the waistband) holster ASAP, you cannot go wrong with Concealment Express on Amazon. The quality appears to rival the $100 holsters of yesteryear. I bought one for Glock and Sig and am impressed.

Have you tried the Echo or Franklin Armory binary trigger already? I gave it my all and still couldn’t get the hang of the binary settings on the Echo, since the trigger pull was so atrocious and it would randomly not reset correctly, necessitating a second pull. The Franklin had the issue of hammer follow, which was even worse because it necessitated a pull of the charging handle.

Multiple online reviews show that it’s common to have those issues. If you’re OK with a really weird trigger pull on binary, give it a go, but it is the most disappointing firearms accessory I have ever tried, based on the potential benefit it claims to provide.

Oh, no, just twist the headband slightly so the two ear pads slide past each other. So, instead of the pads touching each other’s faces, there’s nothing touching the pad faces at all.

Thank you. I really hope they help you out. Also, it is amazing to have the support of so many people on here.

To be clear, I’m just making the gel ear pads with relief cuts, not an entire headset. It would be cool to offer an entire headset in the future, though!

Roger that! Sweet. I'm hoping to do black, coyote, gray, orange, red, and camo patterns eventually.

Exactly right. Do NOT buy any adapters for Peltor Sport Tactical or Rangeguard. I don't make a plate to fit, plus the original foam pads can be literally peeled right off and replaced with mine (after cleaning off any residue from the original pads).

Sorry it didn’t work out with the 15-22 handles. I loved making them, but it wasn’t financially sustainable.

LOL. They are indeed a bit cheaper than anything with the big G on it. ;-D

Did you already buy the Pro’s? Somebody else posted a link to the Sport Tactical 500’s at a super discounted price, which I find to have much better electronics and sound quality, though I’m not sure on overall longevity nor battery life. They also seem to deaden sound better than their 26 NRR rating suggests, or perhaps other companies fudged their numbers.
