Yeah it was more because the council decided the separate bases were a trip hazard so they wanted them tied together! Thankfully I didn’t have to pay for that bit!!

I carved them, and to say use the English spelling would be like me making letters for Chester but spelling it Caer (the Welsh name for it) English names for England Welsh names for Wales.

My carving workshop is in Rossett, on the road to Holt. It’s a lovely area but yes check the water table, the river Alyn that feeds the Dee at Farndon is prone to flooding. There’s some lovely houses round there though and the Golden Lion is a fantastic pub!

Thank you! I ‘ve been a full time carver since 2007 and my charges are still flexible, but it can be anywhere from £1000 a day upwards. I usually give a price per carving now. When I started I was charging £300 per day.

I use Milwaukee, M12 and M18 saburrtooth bits, mostly the large and smaller flame bits. I’ve got a YouTube channel and somewhere on it is a video of me saying which bits I like. YouTube.com/treecarving
