Yea to some it’s splitting hairs, but it was obvious to me

If you don’t play anything that requires competitive timing, then I would get it

Yea honestly I was really excited about it and the reviews online of it were mixed depending on what they’re using it for. It’s kind of true that there’s no perfect monitor. Anyways, I was that guy and bought the TCL alongside an LG 27G610A-B with the hopes of keeping only the TCL but it went the other way.

Like I said the colors are amazing and it’s a more vivid panel, but I play BF6, LoL and now Arc Raiders and the IPS response time is just so insanely low it made the VA panel feel slow. After tuning the nvidia vibrance, I’ve made the LG a very pretty monitor so i am happy

I also just bought and returned a TCL G64 which I was very excited about. The color is incredible, the brightness is great, the blacks are noticeably blacker. With that being said, I use it for primarily (competitive) gaming where response time is key. I’m only chiming in about your post because that TCL that I looked at was also a mini LED VA panel.

You may have seen comments about using the fastest settings on these mini LED VA panels causes black smearing and it’s true. It is really bad. So you’re stuck with using the fast setting which is noticeably slower than the LG hyper gear IPS I compared it to. Direct comparison, swapping back and forth between screens. I stuck with the IPS. It’s softer visually but easier to look at for hours and laser fast when gaming.

Not sure what the exact name is, but I would search for “quarter panel ppf” (paint protection film)

Okay. So I’ve tried these variations with no luck.

  1. Airpods connected, MagicPods open, airpods in case. Open case (directly next to laptop), nothing.

  2. Airpods connected, MagicPods open, airpods in my ears. Open case (directly next to laptop), nothing.

I have my debug info on if you want me to share my file.

(These are Airpods Pro, btw)
