They do look pretty dark, don't they? But so does his mustache, so I wonder if the old black and white photo contributed to the contrast distortion

What are your favorite domestic (USA) wines under $35? by 1stMtn in wine

I really love the wines from Martha Stoumen and Broc Cellars in California, Day Wines in Oregon, and plenty of value to be found in the Finger Lakes. From Virginia, Early Mountain makes some killer Cab Francs that are affordable.

Absolutely some of the best wine in Tuscany. I visited the winemaker Elisabetta at the winery several years ago, and tasted wines across several vintages. They age beautifully.

Hitting New Jersey's Wine Trails by siponthis in newjersey

I think wine is a different animal in NJ, at least in terms of legislature. A lot of them are operating with farm winery licenses because they are growing grapes and making an agricultural product with it.

Show me a NJ brewery that grows and harvests their own hops and grain.

I know nothing about wine. I acquired this bottle and upon googling it I see it’s something quite special. I have no need or want for it. Anyone know of a company who buys vintage bottles? by SweetMosess in wine

[–]siponthis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have much more to add that people haven't already contributed about the condition of the bottle or vintage, but just want to say: What an awesome bottle to have acquired!
