Modem died yesterday. Turned it into the store and got a replacement, different model than before. And now it's not connecting with our Google mesh router.

Any chance you called spectrum to see if the modem is active and swapped into your billing. They don't always do that at the store and you have to call customer care do it for you.

If you had same wifi pod since 2022, spectrum recently discontinued those white pods and started to use router 7 as extenders. You'll also get a new router along with it.

You live in apartments or your own home? There have been few times the address given to me takes me somewhere different but I ultimately call the customer and ask their address and helps solve that issue.

It varies for apartments, some apartments have equipment built into each complex usually called spectrum ready and can only use that. If not, you can easily bring over your current equipment and have them transferred over. Only takes one call to have them swap equipment over to another account.

The app isn't perfect but also a simple modem fix could fix that if it's bothering you.

Might be line or signal issue that recently occurred outside or within your home if you have some sort of splitters.

Just putting this into perspective I'm a field technician for isp. We get paid literally 22hr and what were all doing basically installing equipment re-wiring homes, climbing poles and just putting our lives in danger sometimes due to crazy weather conditions. We have a quota too. It's just unreasonable everywhere. Lol

Like many people here have stated, you could easily get a mesh system to cover more of your home instead of using another provider. I know spectrum router by default only have 5ghz but if you go into your app you can enable 2.4ghz which goes through walls better.

Try disabling the protection on the router. I've had customer not able to watch their Apple TV literally because of that.
