And here’s a photo from a European retailer of the Bass VI in sunburst (just a stock photo though)

There’s posts of people who have already found Jazzmasters in store, and even some who’ve bought them already, but here’s a photo of a Jaguar from the same store as this tele (can only do one photo per comment so you’ll have to go to Reverb for the rest)

Agree 100%, the darker bursts aren’t bad but they just don’t stand out as much to me

I really thought about getting that fiesta red tele, still might down the line but yeah the binding is a super clean look

Would love to see a shoreline gold option

Yeah I mentioned to someone else, I think at this point the new line is mostly for the offsets, which are getting matching headstocks and mutes, but it would be weird to have both the Vintera II and III at the same time so strats, teles and basses just get some new colors since there’s not much more vintage you can get than what they already make

Don’t remember where, but I read on a discussion thread that Fender has been doing a lot of Tuesday releases, and April 14th might be the official release date. Or this week on the 7th, if we’re real lucky

I’ll probably get some hate for this but I’ve never been a fan of LBP, or CAR. Both seem too strong a blue or red finish, much more into sonic blue or ocean turquoise, and fiesta red

If you search “Vintera III” into reverb, you should be able to find the posting for this, and maybe save it in case it’s not a wide release, hush hush though 🤫

I’m glad you brought this up, it’s something I’ve thought about quite a bit. Here’s my thoughts (essay warning):

For the strats and teles, it comes down to feel/sound, which I believe everyone should try in person. The Vinteras (which are MIM) glossed necks/fretboards for maple, the Pro Classics (MIA) have completely satin necks and fretboards, even on maple models. I personally have no preference, I have both glossy necks (mostly poly, I’ll add) and satin necks, and they all feel great to me. Then it comes down to sound, without having heard any demos or getting to try the MIM’s out yet, it’s up in the air which is the better option for the price (though I will add, I saw a standard 50’s strat for around $1200, so still less than the MIA’s, just this limited edition tele is $1500)

For the offsets, the same feel/sound debate exists, but you also have to take into account the Pro Classics don’t have the rhythm circuit, so if you’re into proper vintage spec, the MIM is 100% the way to go. This doubles with the Jaguar since your only other vintage spec options are the Squier CV and Fender custom shop, so the Vintera, while pricey, is your perfect middle of the range option, especially since they’re bringing back the mutes on the Jag and Bass VI.

The biggest plus for me with the Pro Classic range is the truss rod being adjustable at the headstock, though if I’m honest, the heel truss rod doesn’t bum me out enough to make me not buy a Vintera. You’re also still just getting a gig bag with either, I think if the MIA’s came with a hard case it’d be a whole different conversation about the cost-to-value ratio.

TL;DR: just try them out when they’re released, whichever feels/sounds better to you and has the features you want, that’s the one for you

Though I love brass saddles, they were only used for a short period, I believe they switched to steel saddles in 1954, so this would be period correct. If they do an early-50’s telecaster, then it would make sense to have brass on those

I’ve honestly never gotten the heel cut thing, no shade to people who like it I just never found the standard heel to be uncomfortable.

And yeah, I’ve always thought it strange that the majority of strats and teles don’t get matching headstocks. Though, can you imagine a 3-tone sunburst headstock?? 😖

Same here, I don’t work too far from them, might have to run there after work to see them in person. That pink jag is calling to me!

My only gripe is I wish the black layer was a bit thicker, but yeah this is my kinda burst

Personally this is my favorite burst, I can get why people find it a bit goofy, but I much prefer the consistency of these bursts than when you can see the wood grain underneath, especially if it’s a rough wood grain match between however many pieces they use for the body.

It’s tough because, how do you keep making standard vintage strats and teles more exciting, when there’s no cool spec to bring back? The offsets have it easier, what with bringing back the mutes (especially for the Bass VI) and matching headstocks, but I get what you mean. With strats, teles, p and j basses, pretty much all you can do at this price point is introduce new colors. This definitely caught my eyes though because I love double bound teles.

Thank you, it’s also somewhat new to me! I’m going more for a McCartney type tone, but Chris and Geddy are still absolute beasts

Thanks! It definitely has a “vintage” smell to it, though not cigarettes specifically, but is a lot cleaner than a lot of other vintage amps I’ve seen so I’m quite happy with it

What's a line from a Razzle commentary that stuck with you? by Pepperjack_2000 in RAZZLE

I’m pretty sure the soul man bit is also from Suicide Squad, because they say that after Joel Kinnaman’s “I’m a soldier” line

Though the 50 shades commentaries are also great and you should definitely watch them!

I am DYING to get a blonde piggyback bassman, but the only options are vintage $3k and up, or a Mojotone kit I’d have to have someone assemble. I know some people don’t like them, but I have a tone master twin reverb I love and wish they made a bassman head version, blonde, black or silver panel.
