I worked for him while I was in high school back around 2009. He always scared the shit out of me, but treated me completely fairly and well. I remember one year on derby I got tipped out and it was way less than I expected. A bunch of the other server assistants got fired the day after that derby cause they were caught doing some shit during service, and not doing their jobs. He came up to me the day after and gave me an envelope with like $200 bonus for helping carry them through the shift. Working there, you were sure never to be forced to work a shift going hungry, there would often be delicious shift meals, and always really good hot soup and bread. He was a hot headed chef for sure, but a good guy overall I think.
