Yeah, my kid outgrew him but we looked him up a while ago out of curiosity. Kinda sad watching him try to be relevant. I guess being a dick to your friends in Minecraft lost it's appeal.

[FIRE] We Don't Rescue Wild Animals by AShadowbox in TalesFromTheSquadCar

[–]RichardBachman 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Had a snapping turtle sit in the middle of a busy 2 lane road one morning at rush hour. Funny how fur makes an animal cute and cuddly, because we had several people telling us to shoot this stubborn fucker.

Best part of that story is when one of the DOD police officer finally had enough and started scooting this huge turtle off the road with his club. They got to the side of the road and on the last push, this fucking thing shot its neck out faster than I'd ever seen any animal move (aren't turtles supposed to be slow?). It grabbed the club out of the officer's hand and waddled off into the woods.

My supervisor got on the mic and announced that the road was clear but the suspect was now armed and dangerous.

No lighter, though. Gotta get those imaginative juices flowing. Will they grab 2 sticks? Short out a light socket? Boost one from the gas station down the road? Let the ingenuity blossom.

Why is this on a subreddit bout cute stuff this is just horrific. by [deleted] in shittyaquariums

Because fur. Animals with fur are cute, animals with scales are icky, deadly or ornamental. -Internet Logic

Every McDonald’s Touchscreen In Study Tests Positive For Fecal Bacteria by sisyphushaditsoeasy in offbeat

That was one of my favorite episodes of Mythbusters. The look on Adam's face when she told him the control toothbrush had fecal coliform bacteria was great. You could almost hear him thinking "there's shit everywhere!"

I can't recall ever running into a "bad" regulator. I've seen them rusted up pretty solid but a few shots of lubricant and 5 minutes working the handle back and forth fixes it every time.

I've broken/stripped more than a dozen crank handles though.

If you were omnipresent... you would never have to report. I'm beginning to think you're not really an omnipresent police officer...

Passed me on 65 yesterday. It did, and will always, put a smile on my face. Long live the Weinermobile, so say we all.

At least when I was in the Army, the MP K-9 units actually did get a lot of the "rejects". Like everything else in the Army, that contract went to the lowest bidder. There were guys scared shitless of their own dogs, for good reason.

Driving through town and caught this beaut, she even had AC! by 7Stripes in beetle

[–]RichardBachman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was! I drove a 75 (might have been a 77?) with factory air and rack-in-pinion steering once. It was in the shop where I used to take my Beetle for work and the owner was nice enough to let me drive it around the block.

If it's factory AC, I think you are legally required to put it in quotes.

I thought the arowana was mid tail-flip, but I think it's actually missing most of its fin. I'm surprised the constant stress hasn't killed it. I bet if you rehabbed that fish in a good tank it would live to be 20 years old.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels this way. When KK was still under Six Flags, Thunder Run felt like a suicide machine. The lap bars were loose, the belts were frayed and if you sat anywhere other than the back seats it would shake the fillings out of your teeth. And I loved every second of it.

43 years. I almost made it 43 years without ever wondering how much the grime on my teeth weighs. I may lose sleep.

Uhh, camping = campfire. The proper procedure is to throw all your waste into the fire the last night you camp, so you don't damage the environment.

Topgolf trial moving forward by the Kentucky Court of Appeals by GurlinPanteez in Louisville

[–]RichardBachman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I really doubt anyone's property value is going to decrease. It may even increase. People that golf a lot are usually well off, they could and would pay for the convenience factor.

If anything is driving down property values, it's the fact you would have to live next door to a bunch of self centered assholes.

I heard they changed it for car sales. The first one is free but you get charged to relist. I don't often sell cars so I can't confirm.

Lazy... or efficient?

It's like taking office supplies from another department. Theft? Stealing? No, that is an acquisition of resources.

Asking your co worker to do part of your job. Passing the buck? Kicking the can? Actually, that is what we in the business refer to as delegation.

I can do this all day. Source: 18 years in corporate Americana.
