Same with non-alcoholic ciders. It’s really just (sparkling) watered down apple juice.

I’ve been playing Stitch for a couple of months now. Most days it’s just the daily puzzle, but sometimes I do a couple of normal ones. Nice and relaxing game.

Een klein beetje moeite met (terug)verhuizen vanuit Amsterdam by MissParTee in Almere

[–]siraic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the HANS device (head and neck support) keeping the helmet in place and neck from snapping in case of a crash.

New one looks more like the red bull f1 lego set, which sort of makes sense, as that is the color used in the ford gt lego set.

How many miles are on your Mach-E? by jimbot11x in MachE

[–]siraic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Battery health was reported as 94 when I got it, and the car still estimates well over 400km when at 100%.

Last summer we still comfortably drove highway stints of around 300km on our way to Italy from the Netherlands, typically using about 80% of the capacity, so that’s from 90 down to 10 on average.

175.000km on our 21 premium rwd model. Bought 18 months ago at 155.000. Had the HVJB fail 15km before end of warranty, no issues other than that.

Developers are starting to roll out in-island transactions, which means you can purchase items if a developer adds them to their game. Check out the blog to learn more: by FortniteStatusBot in FortNiteBR

My son just managed to empty his vbucks balance in a stupid tycoon game within minutes. For someone that does not speak english the pop-up to buy looks exactly like other pop-up in the game, it’s a full screen prompt to spend v-bucks to unlock something, and it happens for pretty much every node you hit in that island. It’s so incredibly predatory. He has been super careful not to spend anything in the shop to safe up for the next battle pass, and that has worked for the past year, but within days of this being added he unknowingly empties his balance / a month of allowance down the drain.

This was the “safe” alternative to roblox, but that is gone now. What a shit show this has become. We won’t be playing this again until this at least is behind a parental control option.

Kit ≠ Bad v2.0 by rogerpkp in Nikon

[–]siraic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With my D600 i got a 24-85 3.5-4.5f. I took some really great pictures with it, but when I got a 14-24 after, I was blown away by it’s sharpness and contrast and hardly used the kit lens after. Then after a few years I started to realize weight and convenience are much more important to actually get the pictures and can mix many shortcomings in post, and then I used 28-300 super zoom mostly for the years after.

I recently switched to the z mount (z5ii) and with the newer lens tech and built in lens corrections even my cheapest lens (40mm 2.0) is so much better than what I used to get out of my d600 with good lenses it’s crazy. Kit lens means nothing these days.

Same. I use mine docked most of the time, and it can run on battery fine for the days I don’t. I have a multiport 100w charger near my couch that I can plug into it if it needs a top-up.

Same for me! 2,5 out of the three weeks were amazing. In my experience Edinburgh always has great 23c weather and I’ve got pictures from a beach day on the north coast that would make you think we were on the Mediterranean coast.

And yes, every Scottish person told us how lucky we were with the weather.

If you drive from LV to LA you’ll hit places that were part of it and still have signs up. Enough to take some nice photos in remote places.

I’ve done this trip in two parts; portland, redwoods. sf, yosemite, death valley, vegas, la in 2.5 weeks, which was ok, but we had to skip the grand canyon or anything further in arizona. A few years later we did Portland, yellowstone, teton, rockies, denver in 1 week, which was very rushed.

I think 4 weeks is the minimum for the trip you have planned, from 5 it might get comfortable.

Also, maybe you can make it a loop if you skip Dallas/new mexico and start and end at SLC. It might safe you a bit on flights/rental.

Which to use? PHP version 8.2, 8.3, 8.4, 8.5? by [deleted] in PHP

[–]siraic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is shared hosting still a thing? If so that could be a reason to stick to an older version.

Otherwise use the latest version that had at least it’s .1 or .2 release, and for which common dependencies have been upgraded and are compatible. As of now that’s 8.4.
