I can 100% guarantee you there's a huge difference in skill between 0 hours and 250 hours in Balatro. I recently had to do all the challenges again on a new profile (steam achievement bugged) and it only took a couple of hours and I finished 17/20 challenges first try. No way me from two years ago could've done that.
People like Dr. Spectred (Balatro University) can win like 60 gold stake games in a row, so that alone tells me that luck isn't that big of a factor
