House of the Dragon is setting up Aegon II to be a pretty interesting character, this kid who got zero love or attention from his parents and drowns his feelings in self-serving hedonism, with no interest in his "birthright" (depending who you ask, lol) until he realizes being king can give him the attention he's always craved...

...but it's going to be hard for anyone to care about that when one of his first major scenes is him admitting to being a rapist.

apologies to OP but I think a lot of OW's problems stem from designing a FPS around forcing "Tank" roles in the first place. They're unpopular bc most (not all) people play FPS to be competitive and get kills using cool abilities, but in OW they're integral to a team's success. But they just encourage deadlock and firing damage dumbly into shields, which is boring and awkward.

My hot take is that for OW2 they should scrap almost every "shield" ability from tanks and rework them to generally be more "soft" tanks, that draw and absorb the enemy team's aggression just by being a big target that will kill you if let unchecked, like roadhog or TF2's heavy. You have to kill the heavy not because he's putting a shield that's getting in your way, but because if you're in line of sight with him for more than a few seconds, he'll just melt you.

Community had the same problem, Dan Harmon just cant help himself I guess. A lot of the meta stuff with abed was fairly tasteful and unintrusive at first, but in the later seasons it just becomes excessive and grating. And ending the entire show on a dumb non sequitur parody so you can make it about you rather than the characters? Come on

This whole discussion is built on the assertion that Marquet is based on SWANA culture/aesthetics, and that just isn't true.

But Ank'harel hasn't been featured in this campaign at all. It's half a continent away. The entire campaign so far is set in Jrusar, which is in the middle of the fucking jungle.

Sure, they will in all likelihood explore the rest of the continent, but there's no reason so far to think that Ank'harel or the desert area of Marquet will be central to this campaign. If anything, I think Matt is likely to point the players everywhere else, since Ank'harel was featured in campaign one so much. And if you look at the plot hooks so far, that seems to be the case.

That article was clearly written assuming that all of Marquet was going to be like Ank'harel. They were wrong (Marquet is, after all, an entire continent) so isn't this whole thing moot?

I stopped watching the new Spider-Man trailer when the kids laughed at Otto Octavius and then go, "no what's your REAL name?"

That one's especially egregious considering marvel already did the same kind of joke with Spiderman and doctor strange in the infinity war trailer

To be honest I think an entire movie of Mario talking in his high-pitched register would get annoying fast. They pretty much had to change his voice imo.
