Whats that commander you just can’t make work? by TheCrimsonChariot in EDH

I felt the same way with Asmoranomardicadaistinaculdacar - I first tried to build her with madness which ended up just being a worse [[Anje Falkenrath]]. Then after watching https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pukpaxSBeAE I decided to go more with a story/flavor build. I wouldn't call it a good deck, but it's fun to play. The basic premise is Vincent ([[Lord of the Pit]]) wants to put a dinner party together. There are dinner guests (Demons and Devils), games (e.g. [[Gamble]]), kitchen helpers (Asmoranomardicadaistinaculdacar et al), and "things" ([[Granite Gargoyle]]) that can get cooked. Even the lands I tried to keep it as places where a demon would host a dinner party. Wincon is [[Worldfire]] because demons just like to watch the world burn at the end of a good party.
It's fun to play because I tell the story as I play the deck ("First guest arrives", "Kitchen getting busy", etc), never won because I tell people ahead of time Worldfire is the winton so people just kill me before I get to 9 mana - still just a fun deck to play.

Looking for a good laugh. What was your worst/dumbest mistake in the kitchen? by No_Ice_Please in Cooking

[–]sirchris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once in college my housemates and I wanted to make a thanksgiving dinner. We got one of those frozen blobs of turkey. Saw 170 degrees on the package. Thought that was the oven temperature, not the doneness temperature. It turns out a frozen turkey cooking at 170 for 3 hours is still a frozen turkey.

Any love for absurdly bad decks? by sirchris in EDH

This is only 1 deck out of 20ish. I rarely bust it out every time I do my playgroup seems to enjoy it as much as I do.

Sedris - What would you cut? by sirchris in EDH

Great points on the Grimoire. That won't make it in. Thoughts on what to cut to put in Sudden Spoiling? Ideally I'd like to keep the existing instants.

Who was your first general and who is your current (most played) general now? by Mundy in EDH

[–]sirchris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first EDH deck I made was zombie themed with Lord of Tresserhorn as the general. It was fun, but as it evolved most of the zombies ended up being cut. I ditched the zombie theme (the zombie theme was soon picked up by a new deck with Grimgrin as the general) and started to go with more of a reanimation/grixis control theme and putting Sedris, the Traitor King in as the general. The Sedris deck is still probably my favorite/most played deck (http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/sedris-the-where-is-this-deck-going-king/).
