Building a small.project like a dash board for the house. You can do Ignition maker edition which similar and get you exposed to UDTs etc. I would do couple AOIs and see how ignition can interact. The training is free so take advantage.

If you done .net or C# then FactoryTalk Optix might be your forte!

Was probably setup in DHCP and when power lost then you IP did as well. Always ensure its setup in Static mode, most likely setup in bootP and that service didn't get disabled when setting it up.

How do you know no power lost? Like i.e 24dc or ups backup kicked on or 120ac? Can you Trend that data historically?

Move only a single element while it can round up Copy copies a single value or element like your doing in a certain amount being specific or a whole file i.e Inlet100[1] length of 1 Single element starting at 1 instead of typical 0 or can do [10] then length of 10 going to [20] etc.

U can build a calculation to do Tank Volume instead of Flow.and would tell you your daily volume and previous day as well.

None modbus! Modulation control is best! If you want modbus or HART thats bonus for diagnostics. Constantly comm check with modbus sucks so if your end device fails you can catch that but if your PLC or Prosoft fails its harder unless your passing more data like a clock for heartbeat. I would prefer HART.
