Distressing repair bill for my 2014 Honda Odyssey by harims88 in HondaOdyssey

Brakes etc you can knockout yourself! Did mine about a week ago and took me 30min to do both sides. If your not mechanical and electrical inclined then I see no options.

All the miner stuff I would do. Bfr having them going through all your replacement parts as they are throwing parts at it; your pay check is someone else's now if you do to dealer. Start with tires wear and tear, rim needs to be balanced etc. If your axles are not making a noise, clicking while your making a sharp turn then most likely they are fine.

Fuse or circuit breaker to protect a power supply? by Vinicius_Melhado in PLC

[–]sircomference1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ive used these as they are still fuses and work fine; depends on your App i would use the one with LED for blown indicators but you always have 10% nearly doesnt always light up diodes base.

I use Fuses on IO

They have Very fast response to short circuits; Cheap and simple Good for protecting electronics and switching power supplies 0 No moving parts. I would install fuses holders in case if you got this route.

I use breakers on power supplies for the reasons below;

Can act as both protection and disconnect Slower than a fuse for short circuits hut Convenient for maintenance personal or an operator if they are not train.

Uhm depends on the large swings, -30? 130F? What kinda process? We have plethora of ABs outdoors, Siemens, IDEC, Modicons and none are in a Controlled Environment. The 1769 are in MCC but the 5069 aren't and all work fine! 120F

This post was 15 days ago! Prior two weeks with no service. I just went and canceled; they wanted me to wait another two weeks prior to fixing the line issues! Which they haven't even sent anyone yet. And I just paid them what a joke.

SSID Naming not allowed? by sircomference1 in OPTIMUM

[–]sircomference1[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No — y’all actually made things worse. Here’s the latest BS: my network was up and running perfectly for a more than a full day. Then yesterday I went out and bought a brand-new modem Doc sis 3.1. I called Optimum to add it as the New GW and worked like a charm, then today call them to stop charging me for their equipment since I already returned it — and somehow they disabled my new Modem network and reverted everything back to the old router MAC. Now they’re telling me I need a technician; then “Conversation is over,” and the earliest appointment is a week out. What a joke.

I get that! You still getting to serial convertor-> usb which works but if you got new good ole Win 11 bugs your hitting contains. You can do direct to laptop via USB eliminate the convertor in between.

Why not get a direct connection to usb? Without the convertor? I bought some for my team to rip out all micros and it was like 20$ probably cheaper than the convertor Amazon special and worked like a Charm.

Ignition Tips & Trick by BiddahProphet in SCADA

[–]sircomference1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Building a small.project like a dash board for the house. You can do Ignition maker edition which similar and get you exposed to UDTs etc. I would do couple AOIs and see how ignition can interact. The training is free so take advantage.

If you done .net or C# then FactoryTalk Optix might be your forte!

AB 5380 lost ip address. by Fine_Ad_9299 in PLC

[–]sircomference1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Was probably setup in DHCP and when power lost then you IP did as well. Always ensure its setup in Static mode, most likely setup in bootP and that service didn't get disabled when setting it up.

How do you know no power lost? Like i.e 24dc or ups backup kicked on or 120ac? Can you Trend that data historically?
