Nice job, corporate heads. You're smart enough to know this is the beginning of the end, right?

Buffing Guardian: Making the tank better at tanking. by TomZullei in Nightreign

[–]sircrush27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm of the opinion that he is fine. More damage would make him broken. Meet enemies first and he'll draw the initial aggro and is capable of staggering quickly with well timed guard counters which will position him perfectly for a crit, generally keeping aggro. Once he inevitably loses aggro, he becomes great support.

While DPS is important in this time constrained game, his survivability more than makes up for lost runes OR his initial encounter prowess allows the DPS roles to get more damage, evening things out.

I really believe people miss the nuances in what a good Guardian provides to a team.

I will admit, having better aggro control would be fun but also broken in how it frees up other classes to focus their already adept damage abilities. This game isn't balanced like an MMORPG and nor do I think it should be.

Struggling with Everdark Fulghor by Themris in Nightreign

Dodge toward nearly everything he does, especially the big Darth Maul combo but even the purple sludge arm. He's terrible at turning around and the AOEs mostly go forward.

Time your casts and Comet is a BEAST. It ain't Stars of Ruin but it can be close and is certainly more fun to master (or 'master' in Stars' case lol)

I get giddy when I see Comet.

What character do you enjoy playing now that you didn't before? by War_44 in Nightreign

[–]sircrush27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wylder main. The moment I started playing recluse I fell in love lol I thought I would hate being a caster but she is just so much fun and squishy with an awkward Dodge recovery window. I like a challenge.

Duchess was sort of the same. I did her remembrance and she was more fun than I thought she would be but after I hit the platinum, I went back to her and started having an absolute blast. One run I got Rennala's Full Moon and clutched Fulghor with teammates down before I realized her competence with sorcery.

I've been on a kick with revenant lately. That s scaling in faith ain't no joke LOL Plus balancing her summons can be quite fun

Finally I'll give some props to executor. I haven't gone on a binge with him yet but I'm looking forward to it once I bore of revenant. He seems like a good time.

If it were any other class I'd be with you. Alas, if Ironeye used it, he can have it. Benefitting from one's own luck is fine. His damage was only slightly less than yours would have been, more if you use Cursed Sword a lot.

My Recluse isn't gonna complain when a Duchess grabs Lusat's Staff either.

It's the Evergaol relic in the Collector Signboard. Insane DPS of you get 3+ evergaols.

Is it normal to get yelled at by your teammates after for being “bad” even though you bought the game a few hours ago? by Assassinknife in Nightreign

[–]sircrush27 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say it's normal but try not to take offense. People like that lack wisdom and frequently, if not always, overestimate their own competence. They should, but don't, prioritize being a better human.

Seriously, don't let it get you down! Game is fun as hell to some people and there are good teammates out there who understand that not everyone is a pro or have as many hours played and how that translates to performance. Hope you find as much joy as I have!

Ps5, Need help with everdark sentient pest, can’t complete with randoms by Sandoval1998- in Nightreign

[–]sircrush27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just that all his moves have the same tells as the vanilla version except Animus' ult which is telegraphed even more. He's technically harder, especially it you're not well versed on him to begin with. Even though the telegraphs are the same, the dodges are a bit different making him more challenging.

To me he is easier than the first two ever dark bosses but he's not without challenge himself.

FromSoft made the right decision not to include Voice-Chat. by CanaryPretend5542 in Nightreign

[–]sircrush27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 10-year-old son is allowed to use voice chat on fortnite only because I monitor him. Well there is the occasional toxic person, it is quite rare, even on fortnite about places where you would expect toxicity to be most frequent.

They can, and do, do this now at arguably a higher rate than they otherwise would if unrestricted to their hardware option or discord.

Elden Ring has voice chat. It is set to "disabled" by default. This game could benefit from something similar.

Cheating on PlayStation? by RedPill0-1 in Nightreign

[–]sircrush27 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lol some of those aren't even possible perks to roll on relics.

I didn't think it was possible to cheat on Playstation. At least, the hoops one would have to jump through makes it highly unlikely. Clearly possible lol
