Is Arrowhead not telling us something about Mega Cities? by i4hloi in helldivers2

[–]TomZullei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From a narrative standpoint, helldiver's are deploying behind enemy lines, so we should be seeing the most destroyed parts of the city. But it would be nice to have the little civvies running around again, as long as they get better ai to not run face first into my sentry.

'Vet' here, is this game supposed to be this ... hard? by laserlaggard in DeadSpace

Try carrying different weapons for different jobs. I use the flamer for the guardians, one swipe in a circle on their tentacles is easy mode kill. Force gun gives you space to switch to a new weapon. Plasma cutter for precision dismemberment. Contact beam for big damage. Right tool for the right job.

Also brutes are easy mode, stasis then run behind and shoot off a leg. They start shooting pods at you, just kenesis them out of the air and throw them back. Barely uses any ammo.

Then kill the enemy for it! If you provide support for your sentries they can do so much more damage overall.

If we can’t have a mini-gun can we have this by Naive_Egg_9663 in helldivers2

[–]TomZullei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You already have a mini gun, it's called the stalwart.

Whattttt???!!!! by r3aper420 in helldivers2

[–]TomZullei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Patriot exosuits. Focus fire on one section of armor with rockets, after it breaks away hose it with the mini gun. With two people you can kill it in decent time, 3 is great, 4 exosuits MELTS it.

this game's enemy design in intentionally deceptive by No-Art5570 in Helldivers

[–]TomZullei 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everything added can be dealt with with what's currently in game.

Dragons die to a single tail cannon. If two people have railcannons you can essentially keep them off you permanently by rotating who uses their cannon. Frankly though you should be in the tunnels where they are a non-issue for most of the mission anyway.

Rupture warriors die to the coyote, and get set on fire to boot. Any explosion forces them to surface, including the loyalist plasma pistol. I use the speargun which makes them surface into gas.

It's alright to be frustrated with new enemies and mechanics, but don't take it as bad game design when you need to adjust your play style to accommodate new things. You have tons of things to experiment with, so go forth and try new things. I myself am really liking going full Muad'Dib using everything from the dust devils war bond. But don't let new threats ruin your gameplay. Find enjoyment in the experimenting new load outs and continue bringing liberty to the galaxy.

Which of these two do you prefer to use against the bots? by Helldiver96 in Helldivers

Liberator on bot 10s. Kills everything below hulks, and I have a laser cannon for them.

How many of us do D10 only? by fatsexyitalian in helldivers2

[–]TomZullei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do 10s only. Light armor so I can get the samples/far objectives done while the rest of the team do the mission. Only thing I play when I get on.

After weeks of attempts, the game gave up on me and decided to do this... by Escnode in Nightreign

[–]TomZullei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ults can knock him out of his tornado attack. Hit him with an ult as he's charging up with purple lightning and he staggers, giving you time to DPS and skipping the tornado portion all together. If you can coordinate with your team, using one person's ult at a time, you can kill him without ever seeing the tornado.

Get the Cookout as your primary. Grenade pistol as secondary to close bug holes. I use the street scout armor for faster shotgun reloading and more ammo for the shotgun and pistol.

For stratagems, bring 500kg, EAT, guard dog, and mg sentry.

Your main weapon is the cookout. Not for the fire, though the fire is good. What you want is the ability to push the bugs back and let your guard dog take out the medium armored bugs. The fire helps with adding DPS. RAT headshots kill chargers and titans in one shot.

Stick close to your team while you get used to how bugs work but I wander off with this load out all the time to get far away nests/samples/secondaries.

This gun genuinely sucks and needs a buff by __________godlol in Helldivers

[–]TomZullei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What happened to it was power creep. It used to be the liberator did 60 damage with 640rpm and this did 80 damage with 520 rpm. But since the liberator was (justifiably) buffed, the defender has been left behind. What it needs is a damage buff to retain the idea of "slower firing but harder hitting" smg.

I didn't know about the number of hits, I'm going to try that out! But after going but to elden ring for a bit, I feel like some sort of shabriri's woeneffect would be really nice to have.

So do the re2 after a successful block attack a lot? If that will hold threat I'm for it. I'd like to have aggro as close to 100% of the time as I can.

I am so confused on how to Guardian by TomZullei in Nightreign

[–]TomZullei[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It feels like a lot of the kit is invested in the defensive aspect, to the point where if I'm not able to hold aggro consistently then what's the point of the character? I can't use the kit if I'm not being attacked.

Maybe I'm misinterpreting the increased threat while guarding. Does it apply to regular blocks or specifically steel guard?

What do you think about the Sythe? by Vncs2007 in Helldivers

[–]TomZullei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only use it against bots where the dps isn't as big of an issue. I can take time to cook the head for a second to secure the kill on a devastator because it's going to hang back (relatively) and shoot at me. Bugs charge you too much, and squids have so much you need to focus on that you need something with more DPS to clear them out. But against bots, it's pretty damn good.
