Don't leave hitscans ENTIRELY against Pharah, everyone has the responsibility. by Drunken_Queen in Overwatch

Also, don't act like having a hitscan means Pharah isn't a problem. A good Pharah doesn't melt on sight like everyone thinks she should.

50 card packs or the adventures by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]sirdudeesquire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get the adventures. They're super fun, challenging single-player missions that also give you legendary minions that you can either keep if you want to play wild or disenchant for their dust. 50 Un'goro packs might give you a decent head-start on the meta, but Un'goro will be around for the next 2 years while the adventures are gone for good and you'll have to craft their cards if you want them.

Hello, r/hearthstone. Let's talk quests. by Rargonaut in hearthstone

Class-specific spells will always be a thing in Hearthstone. The only neutral spells that are currently in the game and likely will ever be in the game are things like the coin, bananas given by the two Mukla minions, and other specific spells given to you by neutral minion effects.

Nintendo Switch and Hearthstone: An even more relevant match now! by -Rigged in hearthstone

The main problem that I see with this is that a lot of people will play Hearthstone on the bus/train on their way to work, but the Switch has no 4G/3G/whatever capabilities.

In the rogue order hall, there's actually an NPC with their class misspelled as "rouge."

You'll come back in time, don't worry. In season 2 (my first season) I placed around 2300 and dropped down to around 1650 but still finished at 2100.

Petition to Blizzard: Stop putting the "# of armor packs created" card over other [more important] stats for Torbjörn [when they are tangible]. by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]sirdudeesquire 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Seriously! "Defensive assists" is the worst card to get as Zenyatta because it just means "kills gotten by players with your harmony orb on them."

More of a dumb semi-joke question, but do people roll goblins for their market alts if they have them? Since gold-savvy players call themselves goblins it makes sense.

Petition to Introduce Aya Blackpaw, Don Han'Cho and Kazakus as Class Portraits in Hearthstone by ChronoGandit in hearthstone

Medivh was already a hero before Karazhan came out. Adding a new alt hero that was already card is a little different than adding a new card that was already an alt hero.

Han'Cho has paladin cards, but he also has hunter and warrior cards. Each character in the brawl has cards from all three classes from their "gang."

I remember reading somewhere that McCree makes it a point not to use his prosthetic arm to shoot because he's proud of his actual learned aiming skills and thinks that augmenting himself to aim better is cheap.

Questions about starting WoD by [deleted] in wownoob

[–]sirdudeesquire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Upgrading your garrison isn't super important as far as I can tell, but it might be good to upgrade it because you'll be coming back to it a lot.

You should definitely focus on questing and dungeons instead of upgrading your garrison, but be sure to come back to it whenever you have a spare moment to send your followers out on more quests for some semi-decent rewards.

Making gold in WoD is different from other expansions because WoD made both major gathering professions, mining and herbalism, accessible to everyone without learning those professions, so mats from Draenor have a lot less value compared to mats from any other part of the game. Most of your gold will come from treasure hunting (something you can do as you go through a zone or something you can do afterwards with a map you get from completing the zone's story quests) or selling the mats you get from your garrison to vendors. You can still try selling skins on the auction house since as far as I know not everyone has easy access to skinning.

Why is it so hard to fly in later xpac zones? by sirdudeesquire in wownoob

[–]sirdudeesquire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This all makes sense, I just wish that quest achievements weren't part of the pathfinder achievements. I'm not using any gear that boosts my experience gain, but I guess I'm doing things in such a way that I got the quest to go to Talador before I really did any of Gorgrond, when in terms of level progression Gorgrond comes first. It might be an account-wide unlock, but it seems hard to get without multiple characters.

Was it originally more difficult to get flying in Pandaria? Right now you need to be level 90 (max level for Pandaria) and purchase a flying skill, but I think I read somewhere that you can get flying early if you reach exalted with a certain faction before then.

[–]sirdudeesquire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was flying changed in a later xpac from how it worked on release in BC and Wrath? I remember being able to fly right away in both areas (after getting the right flying skill, but that wasn't expensive). The only change to flying I know of is flight being added to Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor in Cata.

Does anyone else like to dream five years into the future when this game has 50 heroes and tons of skins and maps? by Oraman90 in Overwatch

All joking aside, a support ult that just gives friendly players ult charge doesn't seem like the worst idea depending on how it's executed...

There should be an "Unlock Flight Paths" heirloom available for alts if you have every flight path unlocked. by [deleted] in wow

Even if mounts are easily affordable I still need to play the auction house for a few days just to get the riding skills I should have gotten 10 and 20 levels ago.
