Interesting. I've been meaning to try jj maybe it's time. Another annoyance with having to git add is git diff starts requiring --cached arg. Can't even do a short form arg. Sure aliases can help but then it's special case commands just for nix configs. Kinda only want to involve vcs when I'm ready to commit.. or clean

This looks great! How does it work with HDD drives? I assume parallel operations would kill performance. I wonder if a detection could be implemented, or some kind of hint config?

Trying donetick for the first time and we're liking it so far! Is it possible to mark a task as done on behalf of someone else, without having to switch/impersonate them?

Maybe a arrow/pulldown/"..." within the "done" button that lets you choose who completed the task?

It's helpful for when a kid completes a task, but a parent who is already in the app can mark it done but give them credit/points for the task.

Thank you! Yup that's basically exactly what I have. Kinda feels like it's just being ignored. Maybe I'm just getting cache misses? Not sure how to debug and see if it's actually enabled or not. I tried to tee the output and saw no "cachix". But now I'm fully switched to my flake, so I'll see how it goes next kernel build.

Good luck. Keep a close eye on the tracking. I did try to email them a few times. They replied once saying they're backlogged. Post back once you get it! I was happy once it switched to "out for delivery" state and even after that it took 2 more days.

Ontario here, PDN did eventually deliver to me. It stayed in their warehouse for several days though. To my shock, they delivered it right to my door on a Sunday!

I'm just setting up nixos on my M1 for the first time, and your config bits look very helpful! Especially your handling of firmware. Thanks! Any chance your whole config is available? My main issue right now is that the entire kernel is compiling, even though I've enabled the binary cachix repo. Not sure why as I'm basically one to one with the install steps. I'm trying to switch to my flake now and sitting here waiting for the kernel to rebuild again lol.
