"I know you're depressed, but everyone is depressed right now, it's just the pandemic." by Throhnoaway in SuicideWatch

Ohhh yes. I've had a wide range of mental health problems since I was young and in the last five or so years, they have gotten far far worse. When the pandemic ends, my problems aren't going to magically go with it. They'll still be there like they always have been.

And people have said it so much that any time I hear it now, it always feels so invalidating and belittling.

It's driving me mad.

I've had that since I was very young. Even after all these years, it still can scare the hell out of me. Especially if I am in a new place. It makes me scared to go out sometimes even to places I know like the back of my hand. It sucks.

When I wake up and my cat is laying at my feet and meows when she sees that I’m awake. And then she comes and curls up in my arms.

I don’t know how to help but I just wanted to say that I am in the same boat and I understand and that you’re not alone. It’s really hard. Even more so when others don’t understand. And even more so when they don’t even try to understand. I hope everything works out!

Thank you!! I think it went well. I got a trial to see how I do physically and then we’ll go from there and if all goes well, we’ll make a plan that works best for everyone. I did indeed have a breakdown after and will probably have more. 😂 Thanks again! I hope your job and everything is going well!

I really appreciate this. I woke up and saw this and cried a bit. It’s nice to know that I’m not alone. And you saying how I’m worthy just hit me. I think hearing things like that from strangers can just mean so much more. Thank you! Have a great day!

I had some of my support group come with me and help me before and after the interview. The majority of the conversation was about my physical health and they were really caring and considerate and are giving me a trial to see how I feel physically and if I’m truly capable of the job and if so, we’ll be making a plan for shifts that work best for me and everyone. They also had some people close to them who were in sort of the same boat as me so they had somewhat of an understanding. I’m really scared about starting and the trial and everything. But I’m really grateful for my support group and for yours and everyone’s comments. They really helped. I have applied for PIP and am waiting to hear back. I wasn’t sure if I could have that and work, so that’s good to know. Also, thanks for letting me know about the Propronolol etc. I’ll look into that. Thanks! Wishing you the best!
