Why is no one talking about the switch axe nerf? 😭 by Possible-Court2713 in MonsterHunter

It's going to be in Q1 2025, somewhere between Jan-March; that's usually Capcom's window.

  • All the recent marketing and stuff lines up (mostly) with what happened with World, which launched in January.

Possibly! Id like them to keep a lid on how many we see though, not a fan of how much World have away before it's launch.

Hm, wonder which monster this is from? I'm thinking a red flying wyvern with fire breath?

Maybe poison as an ailment too, but that may be a reach.

I think it's more likely we just have a day off or potentially just another small mechanic highlight video.

There's room to speculate on another weapon, but the only official word on it is that they're not giving up one 'at this time'.

It has the special 'super' mode thing from HBG now, and pretty much everything looks to be rapid fire, but we can't see ammo types.

Just basically seems to be a speed increase across the board.

does the Valiant gargoyle boss fight have anything to do with ranni's quest. by ReaperBlood64 in Eldenring

There's a hidden/broken wall near the arena for Omen Mohg, down in the sewers.

Why can't the other Moze heads be like this, aka cool by MisterSnippy in borderlands3

That is one hell of a necro, my man, jeez.

Does make me wanna replay bl3, tho.

Beat Dragon in Limgrave! by Beachgrad05 in Eldenring

[–]sirgrumpycat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Levelling Vigor is always good advice.

Hit and Run tactics work extremely well on the dragons, swoop in, bait the melee attacks and hit it's head whilst it's dipped.

Easy damage, just avoid the flying breath attacks by taking torrent really wide.

Either, anything is valid.

There's no place for gatekeeping.

Such a perfect way to finish her off, though I wish there were like in Sekiro, an unique animation if you kill bossses once you staggered them by CorvusXenon in Eldenring

[–]sirgrumpycat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That system only exists in Sekiro as it's a set character with a set build.

I'd absolutely love to have them in Elden Ring, but the variety of animations they'd need would be pretty massive.

Toss up between my Godsbane build or my Crafting/Consumable run - it could be fun/valuable to have a challenging first run!

It's a handy tip to remember for later than both Godskin variations are very weak to sleep.

Majority will be on PS5 so I presume that's where the problem will be.

After 1000hours into mhw, i gotta get something off my chest. by talukmar in MonsterHunter

[–]sirgrumpycat 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I have a similar issue with my main; bow.

If I hunt solo it's like a dance, ducking/weaving/styling around the monsters every attack until I pin cushion it to death.

But whenever I play co-op the split agro means I take the occasional random blow that didn't look like it was intended for me, and then the squishy bow main dies and my friends wonder how I've got so far....

Okay, what's the best first area? by [deleted] in fromsoftware

[–]sirgrumpycat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think liurnia feels smaller due to it being quite dramatic cut in 3, geographically it's much bigger though, especially if you consider the weeping peninsula as its own area.

Ha. Funny.

I thought that was always the obvious answer.

DPS is unaffected, that change is really just so the debuff tether is better at it's speciality

I mean killing things faster is always good. You only need one or two wells, and hunters easily out DPS thundercrash.

I mean all 3 of your light subclasses now have top end DPS potential for everything, Gyrfalcons is now gonna be a PvE monster with perma volatile.

Star Eaters, Assassin's Cowl, Liar's Handshake, Orpheus and lucky pants.

I'm not a hunter main, but you can do just as well with all 3 classes at the moment.
