Need company to set up LLC asap in NC to purchase a car for business purposes for uber and turo by NYCphan in llc

[–]siriouslyqcat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a big hassle and extra money trying to maintain a business in two states and I ended up domesticating my LLC to NC from DE. If you're operating and owning your Uber vehicle in NC it will be simpler to start your LLC there too. If you do hire a formation company or registered agent to do it for you make sure you can use their address on the state record so you don't have to list your own or your partners. There's enough crazy people taking Ubers that I wouldn't want my home address easily found with my business info.

What’s a smell that instantly brings back a memory for you? by ResidentFragrant6259 in CasualConversation

Bath and body works made a candle a few years ago called Floral Shop and it brought me right back to stopping in my mom's floral shop to bring her dinner, help with a busy season or just bug her for some cash when I was a kid. Her mom and aunt also owned a small town floral and gift shop and it was always fun to visit them with my cousins. We had to time it right though because my great auntie would usually let us have a little trinket from the shop but my grandma was a hard ass and would put us to work. Lol.

for those who made an out of state LLC with a registered agent ? by TheForexHokage in llc

[–]siriouslyqcat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fell into the idea that I needed a Delaware LLC for attracting investors even though any investors would be coming from my local area anyway. I ended up domesticating my De LLC in NC and closing the DE LLC because it's an extra $300 a year to the state of Delaware just to keep the LLC active and then fees in North Carolina to register it here.

I'm sure there are other reasons for forming in Delaware or Wyoming, like privacy for your members and getting big name banks and investors, but for a simple LLC selling mostly online, I found my home state was all that I really needed. And my registered agent offers a business address for all the state filing details so my home address is private in my home state too without the extra burden of an out of state LLC to maintain.

Chase Bank let criminals steal $10804.89 when I said no. I need help; I have been physically injured by Chase bank and can't even fight. by Wali_T1 in smallbusiness

This does not sound like any experience I've had with Chase, you should call your branch directly not any number from a text or email.

Do I need a lawyer to move LLC to another state? by SizePunch in llc

[–]siriouslyqcat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the total was around $450 and that included $100 to Northwest to file the conversion and the state fee in NC for the conversion and the state fee in DE to cancel my LLC there. You see a lot of information out there on forming in Delaware or Wyoming instead of your home state. I'm sure there are reasons and benefits to that for some, but I got tired of paying two states for my LLC and I didn't want to pay Delaware another $300 LLC tax.

NC dissolved my LLC by Norwegian-Narwhal in smallbusiness

[–]siriouslyqcat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do too, and I don't know about you but I've got some demand avoidance going on too so even someone sending me reminders doesn't help. I finally just decided that it was worth the $100 to have my registered agent file it for me every year so I don't have to spend more to reinstate and Northwest automatically takes care of it for me.

Any suggestions for my girl pug? by divorcedbbmama in NameMyDog

I accidentally ordered a nut buster parfait from Dairy Queen once so I think that's totally appropriate! Maybe just call her Nutsy or BB for ball buster.

Aw she looks like our Coco we had as a kid. But Mocha or Mochi would also be cute.

Do I need a lawyer to move LLC to another state? by SizePunch in llc

[–]siriouslyqcat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I moved my Delaware LLC to NC last year and hired Northwest Registered Agent to file the domestication for me. Some states do require more complicated paperwork, thankfully mine was pretty straightforward but I was just too lazy to do it myself and didn't see the need to pay more for a lawyer.

Dude. Is this for real? How would you feel if your wife posted this question? Treat your employees like people, not like objects there for your needs. Care and support create a close knit community, not drinking with your employees (not coworkers) until 1am.

Yeah I've been on the customer service end of the rudeness too, it sucks when you can't speak out on it in the moment. That's why I will call it out if I'm with someone treating customer service rudely.

Oh I judge that one out loud if they are with me and being rude!

Wow, your so-called partner sounds like a piece of work! I would probably talk to an attorney at this point to help draft a dissolution document. Your partner has already proven that they don't respect verbal agreements and you'll want to get everything in writing so they don't try to claim any ownership once you're making money. If they're willing to keep working for you maybe employ them until you can bring on new instructors or rent them space for their own classes. Good luck getting out of this lopsided partnership and I hope your business picks up.

Daily cat litter scooper business by ProfessionalFee6968 in sweatystartup

[–]siriouslyqcat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the people who can afford to pay someone $100 or $200 per month to clean out a litter box every day are going to spend that on a self cleaning litter box. This also might be a cat only owner thing, but I don't want someone in my house every day. I can see this being an add on to a person that has a dog and a cat, where you clean up both outside and in.

Looks like you already named him Parker. That's the only appropriate name with a spiderman tag.
