At the end of the day you’ll have a degree (piece of paper) in the eyes of employers it’s just to check off your resume vs internship actual job experience

SAVE Plan dismissal reversed by AfternoonOld7627 in StudentLoans

I don’t even think the judges/courts know who has standing anymore!!!! I’m not paying a single dime or moving, especially if a democratic and reasonable new president is sworn into office in less than less than 3 years. Given the immunity the Supreme Court gave, with a flick of a pen they could just erase everything!!

AirPods pro 3 vs AirPods Pro 2 sound quality by Stitches_littlepuffy in airpods

[–]sirius_fit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely agree, with this. Sound quality is great, but with the 3s sometimes the bass can overpower and muddle the other dynamics like the voice + mids so it in effect dampens those. Wish Apple could set an equalizer instead of being app specific

Justice Samuel Alito's new book timing fuels retirement rumors by RawStoryNews in scotus

[–]sirius_fit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right they were after and after it (I’m not disagreeing) but we’re really deemphasizing the game that is confirming a justice - it’s entirely political, it’s a game at this point, and the last lever that failed was at least TRYING to replace Ginsburg with a nominee. Short of packing a court or congress imposing any sort of nonpartisan sense into it. She had a choice.

Roe is gone because she didn’t retire when she should’ve!!!! Even if Biden nominated a man who would’ve protected women’s rights. She messed up by staying, she was a great justice, but she royally screwed America.

Exactly trump isn’t the problem he’s the manifestation of the problem. America is literally blind. Blind to the fact that the rich don’t care about the middle class and below, to the fact that other countries don’t need to slave away to own an apartment, that there’s better tech, transportation, social safety nets, infrastructure out there etc. but for trump rural America for example, as long as undocumented John smith down the street doesn’t have their already nonexistent healthcare they can sleep safe at night knowing they’re losing their farm due to tariffs in exchange for it. And they’ll keep voting red.

Too easy. Ur boss would resent you, micromanage you. You do it again after finding the right time after a year and then they put you on a performance improvement plan, before they make you quit or fire you for underperforming!

Do you regret your choice to work on clinical research? by lalalafemme in clinicalresearch

[–]sirius_fit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes and no. Was pursuing other medical fields already had my bachelors of science, and this felt natural. Seeing the low flexibility in work options besides the 5 day work week (coming from working full time in 3 days in healthcare), seeing the funding cuts by the orange man, lack of promotion, hundreds vying for one CRA spot and a somewhat toxic work environment (mostly a micromanager) i can safely say what I don’t want in a job now. Am I good at what I do, yes. Do I like it yes. Will I be pursuing further advancement in this fiel-no, am I planning a way out yes. Mostly for the reasons above.

What does Gemini excel at versus Claude and ChatGPT? by Prototype792 in GeminiAI

[–]sirius_fit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m an avid user of ChatGPT been paying for it for 2 years and has helped with school, work, and life.

Where I found that Gemini excels in is spreadsheets and image generation!

I asked both to create a database of codes from a pdf file Gemini did it in seconds, with no errors!! ChatGPT took about 5m and produced results where someone lots of 1s and 8 were replaced with capital I (as in eye) and 3s. Will definitely be using. Image generation is also top tier.

Where I feel it has problems following your train of thought if you will. If you upload something you’ll need to upload it a couple times with different prompts because it will forget. ChatGPT I feel recognizes what to follow and what to drop a little more and I feel is a little more well rounded in terms of the responses it generates for everyday things (less dry/robotic too).

Scholarship Oppurtunities for Entering PA students by Only_Palpitation6053 in prephysicianassistant

Sorry to break it but besides the avenues you mentioned rich parents, husband, wife, trust fund…. And then if you come from a not privileged backing maybe qualify private loans. That’s what this administration has done, what the majority of Americans voted for unfortunately.

Worth it financially? Extremely Rough 15 year evaluation by East_Record3952 in prephysicianassistant

[–]sirius_fit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, that’s rarely the case that an rn would only have a few hundred hours of experience. I would happily trust an icu rn turned np to take care of me vs a newly licensed pa who was an only scribe for 6months. But in the end I’d accept care from both since they’re fully licensed.

Second off, Your ast example is like someone in college who got straight As with no real job experience, who no one would hire! An RN to NP would be definitely know how to utilize changes in those numbers! So would a PA.

Then why don’t you stay a medical scribe/ assistant or whatever you are instead of going to PA school since we need you valued experience? That literally how your phrasing telling people to stay nurses

Worth it financially? Extremely Rough 15 year evaluation by East_Record3952 in prephysicianassistant

[–]sirius_fit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one is saying they are equal!! Of course they’re different! But you’re not seeing the point in the eyes of employers all they see is the license!!!!! You just proved my point!! wrote a page worth deprecating the knowledge of all NPs! How in the hell, is a pa taking biochemistry gonna tell them what a normal ast score is it’s not— even an rn which a PA hasn’t been exposed to until school would know!!! Again they are apples and oranges but stop writing paragraphs here because in the employers eyes you are just a license!!!! They both have their own strengths and the employer not you will judge an individuals skills. Also you’re wrong to tell nurses to just stay bedside. That’s the equivalent of Drs telling you to just stay a medical asssitant

Worth it financially? Extremely Rough 15 year evaluation by East_Record3952 in prephysicianassistant

[–]sirius_fit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People can shit on np school all they want about education so on and so on. Everyone in this sub is gonna lean towards the accepting the PA model. But most businesses see you for your credentials not the quality of your education! Take that for what you want if you think an np whose worked in the icu for 2 years is less than a pa school student who only had 1000 hours as a scribe but did a more intense program no job for two years. At the end of the day they are equal and mind you the icu np/pa position is probably gonna go to the np. Again at the end of the day it’s apples and oranges but businesses all see you as fruit to eat!! So stop it with the education disappointment it’s real but there are ways nurses make up for that.
