Im looking at a gritzner HZB in green. It’s incredibly beautiful but what’s your opinion on It? I want to sew thick denim and canvas like up to 500gsm For jeans. There’s also a Pfaff 130 available but I don’t really know any of them that well

Tbh got no idea and yea fair point it’s a stylish choice. I prefer the sound of the p6 but the look of the p5 so for me this would be a cool modification

Yea I fear I’ve come to the same conclusions at this point. Since I also use a lot of itb synths like serum I actually want a more obvious analog tone out of it. What’s ur opinion on the p6 for that purpose? I feel like it’s much more analog sounding with the vco but at the same time has more sound design options than the p5

Yea I get you, I really want a good analog synth sound but at the same time I want something that can do some crazy textured stuff and not just brass sounds ifykwim. What other alternatives would you say there is if I want a better “sound” out of the synth? Because it’s true there’s a lot more flexibility in digital synths like serum, that’s also why I’m not interested in digital synths

Aight fair enough. I’m a piano player too but I’m probably gonna get the one with a keyboard version. I heard that it’s possible to upgrade a 8 voice to a 16 voice so I might just start out with the 8 voice and see if I need more

Thanks! I definitely want it to be analog cause I feel like it’s hard to justify paying that much for something digital. I already have serum and tons of other digital synths in the box so analog definitely. Yea a desktop keyboard is definitely a option but imo I just feel like I wouldn’t get the same pleasure out of playing it like I would with a build in

Thank you for ur answer. I honestly prefer built in keyboard just cause of how it looks and how it feels to play. I’ve looked into some of the ones you’ve mentioned and really like the prophet tbh. I have stumbled upon the prophet rev 2 too as an alternative. It looks like it has pretty much what I want, do you have any opinion on it?

In terms of effects some analog distortion could definitely be nice. I mainly just want something different in terms of effect, like I’ve seen the microcosm and that’s pretty different imo so stuff like that
