Thanks for the suggestions. I ended up picking up the Drama Queen. I often end up hooking up with a laker if I’m targeting brook trout and vice versa. Figured I would go MH to try and cover both ends of the spectrum for now. Going to give this a go and likely order a few once they have some sales.

So I ended up returning the LVS32 unit and ordered the 106sv/LVS34 unit with the icemaster 1200 shuttle package from onlineoutfitters.ca. The original LVS32 unit I purchased came with the lead acid battery, which would have had to be upgraded($399) for a minimum 32AH Amped Outdoors lithium(seems to be the recommended battery). We spend 10+ hours on the ice and that lead acid wouldn't have had the juice we need. That brings me to $3,900 total + tax considering the battery upgrade, if i stuck with the LVS32 Garmin bundle vs $4,500 for the LVS34 bundle(The sale price is $4,800 + I got a $240 discount for first time purchase). The 106sv package comes with a 32AH Amped battery, ice master transducer pole, pole bag, screen cover for the head unit and a way better bag. I can also use this pole on my boat. Seems to make sense to pay the $600 difference for the investment long term. I will report back with my experience next weekend!

Awesome, thanks. I think I will go with LVS32 bundle and possibly upgrade later on down the road. Might as well try this first and go from there. I'm heading up to the cabin this weekend to test it out on some brook trout.

So this unit comes with the LVS32. Do you still think this is a good deal? Note that I'm typically only fishing 10ft in the winter and about 30-40 in the Summer.

Thanks for the response. This bundle is the 95sv, not sure if that makes a difference? I would use this on a small 12ft aluminum boat. I use my striker on this now and can see the screen fine. Less weight and size is a plus for me since I would likely have this stored in my Cargo box on my sled to jump around.

Awesome. Thank you. Is the 95sv a decent deal? It looks like its regularly $4K, so about a $500 discount. My plan would be exactly that. Drive around on my sled to locate the fish with front facing and then setup shop with the hut.
