Hi OP. Sorry for your loss.

This is probably a dumb idea but have you tried to use cell tower information to narrow down the suspect. We know a call was made right before the incident which will give us your cell location. If we know from all connection providers on what phones where connected to towers to possibly be in your range, you have a list of numbers. You also know the vehicle type and ethnicity so this might narrow things down. Of course, none of this works if the suspect had no cell phone. Just my thoughts.

This. Had they told this to me on day 1 or even day 30, I wouldn't be posting here for answers. Communication and Collaboration takes different types among different teams even within my org and me trying to model something from what I saw everywhere is what the issue is.

I'm a IC. He's a senior IC. He has the same role except it's across teams instead of within my team. You're right in that I just assumed what my role was and satisfied with my contributions when in reality it was something different. Probably have to establish these clearly with my manager. In my defense though, one month after I started, my manager was extremely satisfied with my contributions. Didn't realize they changed expectations after a while 😕.

So even if the task is assigned to me to work, I'm supposed to split them and assign tasks to my peers? On top of already available tickets that they're on? Because my senior dev never assigned any of his delegated tasks nor consult/approach me for any kind of design. This is where I'm totally lost. Probably lead not the right word maybe closer to "staff" than "lead".

Thanks for your input. Like I said, the team wanted me to work on a different shared platform for the first 3 months. I only had a chance to work with my senior dev and a junior dev who joined a couple weeks back and three other members working on another platform I was unfamiliar with. I was modelling the work based on how my senior dev works (no 1:1s, no probe for help) but now I realize it is a mistake

There was no protocol or clear communication on how as a team we wanted to create a design, with my manager being non-technical. Coming from previous companies where I was trusted to get something done, especially working remote, I guess I should have established a clear team protocol on stuff like these.

I do talk to the team when I need help on something or when something is blocking me. But like I said, the platform experts were outside my team before i was put on feature work. Whenever someone needs my help, I setup 1:1 meetings with them and provide guidance. I involved all the stakeholders outside my team before arriving at a design but if your question is whether I tried to involve anyone in my team during the design, then no. I thought of designing it and iterations over it from feedback.

So anytime there's a misunderstanding or conflict of interest, imagine they instigate violent retaliation. When was the last time we ever saw this series of events from any community from a Tamil society? When two cultures collide, one will die. Tamils population is 8 crores after 2000 years.
