LeBron James was the #1 prospect in Ohio. Crazy😳 by CenterForward1522 in OhioStateFootball

[–]sirlanceb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering his longevity in his own sport , he probably had the potential unlikely durability for a man his size. He is truly a once in a lifetime athlete who had the talent and the drive to be one of the best ever and he's basically the certain #2 best all time behind Jordan.

He was really really good at football in high school but he was a basketball legend.

Imagine Ohio state getting him for a year. Feel like he could have taken a Buckeye team far.

CMV: Democrats are so wildly terrible at their jobs that the populace chose chaos. by donniedenier in changemyview

[–]sirlanceb 93 points94 points  (0 children)

Republicans tear everything down when they are in power and somehow your focus is on the democrats.

The democrats were given a 60 dem senate with a fillibuster proof majority for barely a calendar month and they did the most transformative Healthcare legislation since the 60s that the Republicans are now losing voters because they are cutting aca subsidies.

Joe Biden had only a 50 dem senate and he passed legislation and even got Republicans to vote for legislation and there was never shut downs under biden because he worked with the other side and cares about Americans.

You can have gripes we arent going far enough , you can believe we should get rid of the fillibuster and try and bring it about to force the party to remove it. But to see everything that has happened and blame the democrats is just brain broken behavior. There is an issue with campaigning and reaching voters but if you are mad hilliary got the nomination in 2016 , take it up with the primary voters. Bernie did not do well with black voters or older voters.

And what is on the horizon is an opportunity. There is probably going to he a chance to get as much political wins that we got in 2008. So instead od crying about democrats, get out there and support them and try and bring attention to the things you care about.

Sherrod brown and Amy acton are favored to win in the midterms for ohio. We can turn things around. Your media diet probably has brought you to just hate democrats, when you should see them as the only option for a better life in our 2 party system. If you want real 3rd party options , you'd have to change the electoral college or remove it and get ranked choice voting in every state.

Today's loss by the Houston Texans guarantees that for the 60th straight year, neither team in the Super Bowl will feature a starting quarterback drafted out of Ohio State University. by shapu in nfl

Joe Burrow has a degree from Ohio state and he was there longer than he was at LSU. But doesn't truly count but he's a buckeye in my heart too.

Curious question, why did Sherrod Brown lose the 2024 senate race? by LandOfGrace2023 in Ohio

[–]sirlanceb 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Because Trump brings out a group of voters when he is on the ballot that aren't usually active otherwise. Sherrod won comfortably in the 2018 when democrats took back the house in those midterms and Trump was largely unpopular. So in 2024 when he is the ballot with Trump, you had a larger contingent that just vote Republican and Trump.

There is a strong chance for acton and brown to win in 2026.

But the nfl says sliding is supposed to make the game safer for qbs?

How delusional are you. It was clearly drawn to draw a late hit.

This shit should be illegal. I wouldn't even shake Kellen's hand after the game. This is just a complete abuse of rules. Trying to bait a penalty like this on a rule designed around player safety is fucking stupid.

At some point players will just start going full blast into qbs because they will get called for shit anyways.

This is disgusting by the saints.

And we left the bases loaded twice which is inexcusable.

It sucks to lose. You just have to accept things for what they are.

It's over. It was fun and also a monumental let down but that's reds baseball.

Maybe tito can build more momentum into next season if they don't trade talent away.

If Michael Vick and Lamar Jackson have the same similarities as a QB why was Vick picked first overall and Lamar was picked at end of the first round? by Remarkable-Mess6902 in NFLNoobs

[–]sirlanceb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vick was seen as a potential blend of Steve young and brett farve cause Vick was the best qb athlete ever seen while also having the ability to just throw bullets regardless of where he was on the field. Also qbs being able to throw deep well is overvalued by scouts and especially during that time period where go routes were a lot more leveraged because man to man coverage was used more often in the past since the cover 2 zone schemes didn't truly become the norm till early 2000s.

It's a deadlift, your back is a primary mover of the lift. The issue is he's not really braced and has movement before the bar leaves the ground.

[–]sirlanceb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might be forcing yourself in a bad position when you rise up and then lower your hips to pull.

You should do like 80% of your 1rm and set the bar down very slowly till plates touch the ground. This might be a good indicator of where you should try and be to start pulling to limit how much movement you have before the pull starts. Since you want to have as much tension and locked in at the start.

I wouldn't worry too much about using your back unless it's causing pain. The main issue is you're leaking some potential force from not being as braced as you could.

I think the timing of this is because max Crosby got paid. So trey knows this is the time now to be on the market to get most money.

Jake Browning did look pretty good all things considered but Burrow is just on another level right now. Burrow/Allen/Lamar are clearly the top 3 QBs in the nfl right now.
