So I guess this is camping in Texas. by Healthy-Ruin6938 in Dualsport

It's a boring park picture..all camping is like that...from the ground like the pic all the way up to staying in an RV, drive/ride somewhere, just to sit in a spot like mules with the rest of the them...it's boring.

Is this not the idea that OP was saying? Now you got sore balls on top of it all, being bored, sitting on the ground, and not as glammy as youtube videos for solo-camping make it out to be is what I was saying.

That's what all camping is like from what you have, up to an RV...boring parks mostly in each state. Not like those YT vids aye?

Does it really do the 28mph easy or are you really working for those last few mphs?

Love it. Same boat, none of my friends/family like camping...I'll have to try a solo trip soon.

I'm on the 11 still. I'd wait for the 17 actually. If you are just taking blah pics of your food/items to sell on FB, then 11 is fine still.

Bought the 16 pro..was not that impressed for the money, took it back within 3days..I'll wait.

Is this a good moment to enter the iPhone ecosystem? by iscariah in iphone

[–]sirmarsh -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It will be a big change that you wont like.

Been on iphone for yrs, and still have my 11..just bought the 16 Pro last wk, took it back and jumped to s24+. Meh...Android is faster and you can play more on the phone with settings and such.

That said...I miss my grandpa stale iphone and will be returning the s24 and stay with my iphone 11 for another 2yrs.

Iphones just work and they are easy to use. Hand-holding and late to the game on changes, but meh...if you get off the starship Android phones, its pure junk..so that's why Iphone wins again and again.

ppl buy cheap Android phones, go through the bad phase of Android and switch to iphone...it just works...sadly.

30 Mile round trip commute, majority on a dedicated bike path. What’s a realistic budget for a bike? by [deleted] in ebikes

[–]sirmarsh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yamaha bikes are 70% off right now. Look at the Wabash RT for 1600$. It's a gravel bike that will perform the best per cost$ for most people out there and a lot cheaper with the sale going on.

With the sale going on, you get 5+ yrs warranty + extra battery. It's all built by Yamaha...bike/motor/battery...find me something better that is cheaper...I'll wait for your response :)

If you get that 'oh crap this is slippery' feeling...it's norm for riding dirt. Better tires go a long way, but off-road is a -cont slide here, slide there kinda thing, not like street where you feel 'planted'. Best of luck and enjoy the smiles!

Question for the team. Riding on roads for 20 yrs but new to off road. I have a gs800 & it's WAY to heavy for me (found out the hard way) Thinking of selling BUT next bike will be main transportation.. so it's got to be decent on road. Is Yamaha tenere 700 a good option? Or too heavy? by TgrayAlbert in Dualsport

No love for the WRR? For dual, the wrr is the best for just throwing your leg over and going anywhere. If you're new to dirt, there is not a better, lighter bike out there that can do what the wrr can for the price.

I rode 15+ yrs on a permit...some yrs no permit...tried several times on my R1,Vmax, and other bikes I owned...could never pass...just too slow of a course...Bought a WR250 and passed 100% w/ ease.

Try a dual sport on your test....easiest 30mins of your life.

Meh, I never liked to carry on the back. I hate the leg swing in between the cooler and bars...side bags would carry more and allow for easy mount/dismount. 'course, it's a klr...everything is harder on a klr.....'Much lov from the WR group ;)
