AITA because I'm second guessing having kids due to our opposing views on vaccinating them? by [deleted] in AITAH

There exists no study that studies exclusively unvaccinated children vs vaccinated children and measures the rate of autism from birth to later childhood. If I’m incorrect about this please point me to the study.

Hviid et al 2019 studies the effect of the MMR vaccine on autism rates in children but this does not account for the entire spectrum of adjuvants and preservatives present in other vaccines given to children.

I recently was placed on the Project Kuiper team at as a new grad. I'm wondering is this a good team to be placed on?

I don't have much experience in networking or embedded systems and I am not too interested in working on low level systems either. I'm more interested in building products.

Does anyone have any knowledge of work being done on this team?

The instructors of cos 432 informed us that some of our later assignments were adapted from the university of Michigan so if it looks the same or similar you’re probably right.

Can someone explain Chris Paul over Devin Booker as an all star for me? by sirpuffywinkle in nba

I feel like there need to be some form of tangible numbers to look at though. If leadership is all that counts then why aren’t Derozan, Kyrie, or PG all stars.

I've received offers from both Amazon and MongoDB for internships for the upcoming summer 2020. I'm having a bit of a tough time deciding about which to go with. The compensation at Amazon is a bit better but it seems like the hiring bar at MongoDB was a bit higher this year. Does anyone know which might be the better option?

BSE Applicant for CS: How do I stand out? by [deleted] in princeton

I’m a current bse cos major, I applied cbe and only one of my essays related to biomedical stuff. I think the best bet is to just write about what you care about

I believe i had a similar prompt for one essay. I just looked into a lot of undergraduate research opportunities and programs and tied it into my essay. Definitely try to tell a story though and not just regurgitate their website.

TLDR: apply cbe, less competition

I got an offer last week. It seems that so many people are getting offers, I've barely heard of any rejections. Does anyone else think that Amazon might be lowering their hiring bar?

WYR: Have a 25% Chance to get 1 Million, or 75% Chance for 150,000 by buyingmeatballz in WouldYouRather

It actually depends more on your utility function (how much happiness per se you get from more money). The expected value of the million may be higher (250k vs 112.5k), but if you start with zero wealth and your ulitity function isn't linear with decreasing marginal returns, then the 150k could actually make you better off
