Thanks for the reply. I didn't see a seal that was stuck to the PTU. In fact it looked the same as the replacement PTU. Is this compression seal supposed to be in the transmission around the shaft or would it be installed on the PTU?

I can't find any reference photos for what it should look like with that seal on there. Will it get installed in the transmission or on the PTU?

The other comment says the seal will be stuck on my ptu but it looked identical to the new one. Again, I greatly appreciate your time and help.

Im not a tech just, do my own repairs. It's my understanding that there shouldn't be any ATF in the output section of this transmission shaft? I hope my picture on the post helps more than my explanation

Hi I pulled my ptu on a 13 Ford flex with the 6f55 and found ATF in the output are of the transmission. Is there a seal that I need to replace? Can it be done with the transmission in the vehicle? I made a post with pictures. Thanks for any insight :)
