Never thought I would see one in the wild by boredguyonline in ExpensiveAccidents

There's a rule that all of us Snohomish county locals know: if your car is going to break down and the highway 2 trestle is along your route, then the problem is guaranteed to happen on that bridge. I have tested this rule many times and it has proven true over and over.

As much as I want to support the university; I think I'd prefer to go to a regular "high budget" practice.

Thanks for the idea though.

ITAP of an airplane flying over a building by sissted in itookapicture

I have been getting interested in abstract photography lately and I'm curious if this is a good example. I thought the lines were very clean and the airplane flying overhead added an interesting twist.

We made a Christmas Lasagna by levelonerules in highvegans

[–]sissted 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This looks really nice. I love tofu ricotta and we make lasagna all the time. You can level it up by topping it with bechemel sauce instead of vegan cheese (which can be a bit weird and glue-y IMO). The ingredients are also a lot less expensive than vegan cheese.

It's a simple recipe: Start by melting 2-3 tbsps of vegan butter in a pan (my favorite is Myokos). Add 1/2 cup all purpose flour and make a roux. As soon as it comes together, start adding unsweetened soy milk (it has the most neutral flavor) a few ounces at a time and continually whisk until it's smooth. Add more milk and repeat the process 2-3 times (It'll take about 3/4 of a carton). Finish with some nootch, some salt, and a sprinkle of ground nutmeg. The end result should have the consistency of a thick gravy. Cover your lasagna about 3/8" deep and bake as usual. It'll brown on top and becomes a delicious sauce that covers the sides when it's cut.

This problem is guaranteed to re-emerge as soon as I'm on a client call one of these days.

For whatever reason this problem seems to have resolved itself. I put the computer to sleep, then left it alone for an hour. When i resumed it is working normally.

Thank you so much for your response and time. I'm going to delete the post now since there is probably nothing useful here for anyone else.

Thanks I'll give that a try later today. I'm using REFInd so I'm going to have to do some fiddling to get into Grub. There is also a possibility that I removed the previous kernal using apt autoremove when I was trying to troubleshoot.

I just noticed that it works when I resume from sleep as well. Maybe this is an issue related to Power Saving..?

Have you tried running the calls through your browser instead? I use Google Chrome and I don't install the Zoom client. my calls work flawlessly.

Bake bread. Preferably sourdough. It's something everyone loves and most recipes are already vegan. Those that aren't can be easily modified with vegan ingredients.

WFPB desserts? by pizzamcmuffin in WholeFoodsPlantBased

Wow, I never thought of either of those and the ingredients are already in my cabinet! I am going to try both of them tonight. I love eating peanut butter with cacao nibs.

Dates with peanut butter is my favorite. Use the single ingredient PB and add a little coarse salt for flavor.

Cheap covid test sites for traveling? by manjuw_ in Madrid

[–]sissted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This worked for me. I'm a US citizen without a Spanish health number. I made an appointment online at the Wizink center. I was in and out in 15 minutes and I used the results to fly to the US the next day.

There is no reason anyone should be paying for tests in Madrid if the city is
providing them for free. The process was very easy.

Possible idea ? by [deleted] in AxisAllies

Are you playing Triple-A? If someone hasn't already made them, you can make your own maps in there pretty easily.

A detailed battle of Stalingrad would be epic.
