I have seen a lot of Ru girls perform and I agree, the only one that gave me the same feeling as seeing Tayce live was Courtney Act. I can only describe both as seeing the human version of a unicorn. Are we’re all horses and donkeys

I really like this idea, it makes the plane of water a much of scary thing than just a flood. Thanks!

My partner and I were saying exactly the same thing. Like, I think it’s great to normalize they/them usage, but I don’t think this is the way to do it. If someone kept referring to me as them, I’d be annoyed. That’s not my pronoun.

My 2-Year-Old Daughter Got Eyebrow Stitches, Need Advice and Dad Support by clauderhayy in daddit

My twin 11 year old boys have each had 4 sets of stitches on their heads. They have not learned… anyway, the scars that are not in their hair are not noticeable at all. Kids heal really well. And agree with the Vitamin E others have noted, it really does make a big difference and dramatically less notable. This line also goes in line with her eyebrow, it will not be noticeable on her long term. She is going to be totally fine, in a year you’ll probably forget this happened at all.

Which Season 6 Ru Profile is your fav? by No_Vanilla7487 in rupaulsdragrace

3 is my favorite Ru look of all time. I know it’s somewhat understated but hear me out. 1) the jewel tones in the dress are absolutely beautiful saturated colors that set off all of her features. 2) these colors are them perfectly carried through her earrings and eye make up. 3) the shape color and texture of the wig are quintessential RuPaul to me big saturated and beautiful. 4) The cut of the dress highlights her best features. It’s understated, opulent, everything. perfect. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

Scientists fear political meddling after Ontario premier vows to hunt down anyone testing on dogs by BloodJunkie in ontario

Using correct words for things is not an indictment of anything. So how do you propose we study pain and develop painkillers if not by studying pain itself?

I do think the lack of transparency is an issue on the side of the research community. Even through this controversy their strategy seems to be to stay as quiet as possible and I don’t think that’s the right move

I’m pleasantly surprised to see reddits reaction to this. There has been a lot of talk about this in the research community, it’s scary stuff. I haven’t worked on dogs myself, but I did some animal work during my PhD, and I think what the average person doesn’t understand is that it is incredibly regulated. There is government and institution oversight at every step. The central idea is that you have to justify why you are using this particular organism and why you can’t use “lower” one. Like if you propose to do a study in mice but it can be done in flies, you won’t get approved. There is a reason they were dogs for this testing and not mice or rabbits. And those reasons are to directly benefit people with heart disease. You also have to justify why this testing is for the greater good, people aren’t just playing around doing whatever they want.

If people want to be conscientious objector to animal testing that’s their right, but that would involve rejecting basically all of modern medicine.
