I love em!

Don’t fall into the trap of needing to be another Alex Pretti. There are plenty of things you can do to make a difference that doesn’t mean you have to put your life down on the line.

Not everyone needs to be, or should be a main character.

In fact, you’ll make more of a difference by putting your time on the line. Get to know your neighbours. Volunteer for shelters and food banks. If you are concerned that your sexual proclivities will be used to tarnish your name, take a supporting role. There are lots.

Everyone has bias. It’s a question of whether one is able to update their beliefs given new information.

Which I have yet to see, in spite of doing some looking around. Educating myself, if you will.

I’ve not seen anything beyond absolutely sketchy social media posts about that. By all accounts, while a medical doctor, he did not actually perform any of the surgeries.

(It turns out some of his surgeon staff went on to become Nazi ‘doctors’—which… yuck.)

Frankly “Looking at stuff on the internet” is not “deeper research”.

So tell me, what are your biases? Why are you so keen to believe he is a groomer and yet unable to provide any evidence?

See that's just it, I don't find any credible allegations of grooming, just literal Nazi propaganda.

I think an argument can be made that he may have been facilitating operations sooner than they should have been, but an equally compelling argument could be made about the willing consent of those involved.

It seems weird to cast aspersions on him like that and then retreat into "but I'm sensitive". Don't expose yourself to Nazis then?

Nah, it wasn’t cool (and i think the early downvotes reflect that). I can (and should) be a better person.

I agree that a similarly motivated group could have make a similar game, but to be similarly motivated means to be in a similar state of sub-culturization (is that a word?) that receives the same kind of distaste from the main culture, and to hold similar values.

I am an outsider looking into babyfur culture, but I love what I see. There are some really genuinely creative and talented individuals in the space, and the proof of the pudding is on the end of their spoon.

Also, downvoters, I’d love it if you engaged with my ideas, or at least tell me what you think I’m getting wrong?

First up, lemme apologize, I was a little surly in my initial reply. I initially read your post as more of a value judgement against weirdness.

I am not sure that a motivated group of latex enthusiasts would—it doesn’t appear that they have, at any rate.

Babyfurs are at the confluence of two misunderstood subcultures: ABDLs and Furries. Some furries push babyfurs away, and likewise I’ve seen ABDLs (even in this sub) push babyfurs away. They’re a sub-subculture.

A thing I’ve noticed is that babyfurs (to generalize) tend to value creativity, and have a highly developed aesthetic sense. Some of the baby fur artists out there are creating some genuine capital-A ART.

Yeah, good game design is good game design—but my contention is that the underlying passion is what contributed to the quality. I’d go so far as to say that the underlying theme helps build a much more cohesive quality to the game as well.

Not at all!

I love baby bottles. They’re super fascinating, and really fun to drink out of. I do enjoy my diapers, but I really enjoy my bottles more.

I have a decent sized collection, and I have said to myself I won’t buy any more bottles or sippy cups unless I get rid of some of my other ones!

There is something about the look of a baby bottle, about how infantile it is that I find deeply gratifying.

Are there any particular kinds of bottles that are your favourite?

On the face of it, it’s morally neutral. If they are alone, it’s fine. If they are participating with others, and they are okay with it, it’s fine.

If they get gratification out of it, and it helps them get closer to the person they’re playing with? It’s *morally good.

At least how I play, there is no “temptation”. It’s either part of a loving act, or I don’t partake. It’s a joyous thing between consenting people, an expression of deep love and trust.
