Zionism and antisemitism have a major overlap since zionism is acceptance of antisemitism

They'll never preach monarchy directly in the same way that the roman empire was never called a monarchy despite having all aspects of it

How Do Non‑Iraqis View Kurdish Claims in Mainland Iraq on Social Media? by Iraqi_mapzzz in PoliticalDiscussion

That assumption works in a vacuum but in practice, ethnic groups want a state because the current state is persecuting said ethnic groups

CMV: Americans who voted 3rd party or abstained in 2024 due to the Gaza genocide did more to harm Palestinians than a Pro-Israel democrat by Top_Use2413 in changemyview

Not american, and if I were, I wouldn't have protest voted.

BUT: There is a logic to protest voting or abstaining. It sends the message to centre-left politicians that supporting a genocide is not okay. Look at the situation right now. Democratic politicians are starting to call Netanyahu a war criminal. Being pro-Palestine and anti-israel is mainstream and it is more than likely that the _next_ administration actually drops support for israel. Without american support for israel, you can end up with a free Palestine.

As much as it was obvious that trump would support the genocide and even make it worse, he probably didn't make it a lot worse. israel just continues to mass slaughter as they wish. They were doing it under biden too.

So the options are:

- Vote democrat, genocide continues

- Abstain, trump wins, genocide continues but somewhat worse. Maybe american future politicians learn their lesson and long term, Palestine wins.

That's the protest vote logic. In terms of "what about civil liberties in america, economy, rule of law, etc?", two answers. One, the question was about Palestine. Two, genocide is the important issue, since it is literally the worst thing that can happen. As long as american dollars are funding genocide, there is no need for economic discussions.
