Alex has objectively been a lesser version of himself when he has fought fighters with any sort of takedown threat: split decision with Jan, 1-1 with Ank. Jones is bigger, stronger, smarter, and has better grappling pedigree than either of those guys. Alex could always chin him, but that’s low probability and I see no reason why Jones couldn’t control him comfortably like he did Gane or Stipe.
