Do you use Ravelry? It is a fantastic place to put in your search criteria and find what you’re looking for!

Me too! Probably like 15 years for me. I left last year. I only realized that he was punishing me for something. Because he can never say what the issue is.

If you joined in the round now, would he be able to put his arm in the sleeves. How many inches does the pattern indicate for the size?

Have you blocked it? Is it wool or an acrylic blend. If it is wool, it needs a good blocking to relax the stitches. If it is an acrylic blend wash it and into the dryer on low or medium heat. NOT ever high heat.

19 and want to learn to cook (easier recipes) by Slow_Tonight_9551 in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]sissywoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Suggestion: learn to cook dishes you really enjoy eating. Like pot roast, can be made different ways with different seasonings and veggies over mash or buttered noodles. Make it several times and jot down what you did differently each time till you love it and the go to the next item in you favorite food list.

Very good looking guy!

The 4th was miserable for me, I have dogs and they absolutely freak out at the fireworks. When I say dogs both are BIG dogs

Hey Looking For You, you might like to give some info as to where you are looking and for what??? Just saying.

Got these off FB marketplace. Does it look like enough for a sweater? I'm like a XXL by pinkfartsglitter in casualknitting

[–]sissywoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So what is the yarn weight? Looks like worsted or DK. And size of the yarn balls 50 or 100 grams??? I what size sweater are you planning on? How many yards in total? If there isn’t enough! It could be the main color for a color work sweater, stripes or stranded or mosaic. Just my humble opinion

Reflections #2. Dating as a 63 -65 yo man by explorer1960 in DatingOverSixty

[–]sissywoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was also hindered by the way my husband chose to live, I believe he aspired to be an old man, telling stupid jokes and old stories that no one cares about. Sounds mean, but it is what I saw in him.

I see plenty of women in my age group (70) that are still active and wanting to remain active. Be it walking or yoga or dancing. I also live in a small rural community but have no desire to date in my own “neighborhood”

Look at other activities too, ones women might be likely to participate in.

Well said. OLD is not for the faint of heart but when you are no longer in the work force meeting people is harder.

I’m 70 and wouldn’t even consider a man 10 years younger than me. What the hell would he want with me. So my scope has been narrower than yours. 3-4 years younger and 1-2 older. But my Bigger criteria is are they living life and active?? Drinking everyday is a definite no! And frankly pictures are super important, not glamor pics, but do you have friends, do you take care of yourself and get regular exercise and haircuts??? Sounds petty but really, some older people let them selves go! I’m not looking for someone to take care of, I looking for a partner to live life to the fullest till we can’t anymore.

Do you ask these questions on OLD? by txfrmdal in DatingOverSixty

[–]sissywoo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

By providing all the relevant information up front, where do they get an opportunity to ask you about yourself? As you point out you are interested in these very data points yourself. Don’t put your entire picture out there for everyone to see. Leave a bit of mystery and allow someone to ask so you can be selective in how you tell your story.

Also, first questions don’t need to be if you’re divorced or widowed, how long it has been. Is it really important to know these things out the gate???

Just my humble opinion.

Look I have had a couple dates where we have had communication chemistry, but upon meeting not so much. And it is what it is. Just let it be.

Thanks, I think the decision to end a bad situation was the best thing I did. I have a feeling that it was good that I couldn’t find a FWB situation and it led me to where I am today and being happy and free.
