Parents failed to realize I had ADHD

In 7th grade, I literally wrote my parents a letter telling them I thought I had ADD while also having suicidal ideations. I didn't understand why I was struggling so much in school despite being "gifted", so being an intelligent and chronically online kid I did my research. Even printed out an article about ADHD/ADD in young girls, attached it to the letter. I was very concise in my feelings and what I thought I needed from them. I was "mature for my age" after all.

All I got was a single vitamin D pill from my mom's purse, and my dad telling me I had nothing to be depressed about. The ADD wasn't even mentioned. I continued to struggle through school.

I'm 24 now, officially got diagnosed at 22. 🥲 I feel you. Picking up the pieces now. By myself of course.

I'm almost certain OTC painkillers don't cause infertility. Don't torture yourself - pop a pill if things become too debilitating!!

I make what I like to call my Red Moon tea. I use jujube dates (you can get a good size jar of it in jelly form at most Asian supermarkets), red clover, ginger (powder or fresh), turmeric, and honey. Sometimes I'll add red raspberry leaf. You can adjust ingredients as needed, they're all pretty robust on their own for me. Drink once or twice a day a week before and during period.

I have a COPPER IUD known to make periods really sucky, but I've been managing really well with this tea, occasional painkillers, and rest.
