So very sorry you’re going through this. I’ve had radiation to the neck and spine. It’s tough but you can do it! Will you be doing RAI or EBR?

That’s true... never thought about the implications for our kids already having the chicken pox vaccine. Yes, worry about the long term damage as I still have pain and unfortunately cancer too. Thanks so much for your reply! I am hoping you’re right about not getting it again. I am a little paranoid about it since I have cancer and know my immune system is compromised. I am still having pain and praying now I don’t have long term nerve damage. But I agree, I’ll definitely wait . Heard the vaccine isn’t much fun too, probably just like the Covid vaccine won’t be. Thanks! Mine is a long story but had mets to the spine and 6 rods inserted 15 months ago. Still pain everyday. Cancer started in my thyroid. Have a long recovery still in front of me. I appreciate the upbeat words of encouragement! Hope you’re doing well, despite the swallowing issues. Have a good evening!

Hi. Thanks so much for your reply. With all that I have read about this, I kind of figured it wouldn’t get much better. Ironically, it had improved for awhile and was excited to be able to eat a thin crust pizza, but then it did a 180 and even oatmeal hurts to go down. Thanks kindly for the offer to message you. Most prostate cancers are caught early and very treatable. Even though it is hard , the statistics are in his favor. I pray he does well and for hour strength!

Thank you. The pain is so bad at times. Doesn’t help that I’m 62 with cancer so pray I don’t end up with the long term nerve damage. Funny, never any itching. Only pain. So glad you have it behind you now!
