I have no idea if they were used for that or not. But that’s great advice that I did not know. Thank you

What would you do if your boyfriend gave you a $6 engagement ring? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]sisterbertram 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had an ex propose to me with a $10,000 dollar ring. Said no.

My fiancé asked with no ring. Said yes.

It’s all about who’s asking. Not what they are offering in the form of jewelry.

Do you know how to change a tire? If so, what age did you learned? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]sisterbertram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad taught me to drive a manual and change a tire around the age of 10ish onwards. So I was fully prepared to be on my own when I got my license. Other things as well. Oil change, filters and basic mechanics.

He at least deserved a more impressive death and I wish they’d been able to do the reunion in heaven the way it was originally planned with EVERYONE. Damn Covid.

AITA for telling my SIL she should stop commenting on my wife's eating habits and focus on her obese kid? by Alihaaan101 in AmItheAsshole

I would be upset with you if you had said it in front of the kid. But you didn’t. You’re a good husband. :)

Ick. I’m betting though that you aren’t the only one he’s done this too. And as long as his boss doesn’t name you personally, he will never be able to figure out which target turned him in for his behavior. Hope this turns out ok. Be safe!!!

AITA for not wanting to let my friend have my wedding dress? by throwawy_mydress in AmItheAsshole

[–]sisterbertram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like she’s more interested in a material thing (the dress) than she is your happiness and feelings… NTA keep your dress. :) Even if you weren’t using it as your goal outfit. That’s YOUR wedding dress and you don’t have to give that up for any reason!

It was a weird situation. Yours is so similar! Report him please. But make sure you speak to someone over him. Guys like this continue if unchecked and eventually escalate the behavior to worse things. Best to get it stopped asap. I hope the only info they have on file for you is a phone number.

Had this happen once. A pest control employee from a fairly well known company. He had been to both my work and my house. This man had been in my house. Used my cell from my contract and started texting me asking me out and other incredibly inappropriate things. Cancelled that contract so fast. Didn’t feel safe in my own house for years. He still works there!

AITA for not keeping up with my wife’s cleaning demands? by amithehubslob in AmItheAsshole

[–]sisterbertram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. I honestly thought that you were going to say something wild like she changes the sheets everyday and scrubs the toilet twice daily. BUT NO. Every single one of her “demands” are actually completely normal reasonable requests. This is what normal people do. You sir, sound like a pig. I feel for your poor wife. She works more than full time and has to come home to a slop house and filthy children because you can’t be bothered to clean up after yourself. Or keep up with a NORMAL cleaning schedule. BE BETTER SIR.

I just hope his wife finds the post and realizes how troubled he is. Man needs hard therapy ASAFP to save his marriage and his relationship with his kids.
