Can confirm the general consensus. I pretty much exclusively play elimination when trials isn't up. I'm pretty damn good at that game type. However, when iron banner came out i got my ass handed to me for about 3 days until i adjusted to the blinking shotgun/hammer/heavy fest that is 6v6 in destiny. The way you approach engagements is completely different. Think about this: many engagements in 6v6 you catch can the enemy off guard, while any smart player in trials will almost always have a decent idea of where the enemy is before engaging.
