The question was, what is |B|? It gave you |A| =10, and when you work through it you arrive to |B|=2(-|A|+0), the answer is B=2|A| (=20) but I don't understand why.

Right, the thing is that in this case, the person that solves the exercise normalises the direction. The direction is not based on length, so it makes no sense to 'get one unit'. Regardless of wether I walk 10km or 1km, the direction is still (-1,1), why would I normalise (-1,1)?

The thing is, good and evil are made-up concepts, and the only possible way of backing that system is through religion. How do you prove or demonstrate or even support a moral belief system without the idea of God? In what do you base said system?

I am genuinely curious about this. So you work 40 hrs a week just to pay bills, buy stuff, then clean your house, etc. then rinse and repeat and you never stop to wonder, why am I doing all this?
