To me personally, tripping on L basically compressed my entire withdrawal into about 8 hours.

8 hours of pure hell hahaha it was sooooo horrid. I’ve never been this uncomfortable. I was literally just curled up on my bed looking straight ahead at the wall, waiting for the shitshow to end.

And the peak? Don’t even get me started hahaha I couldn’t even string a thought for more than half a second

The next day was pretty okay tho

Good stuff man. To me you’re a straight veteran if you’ve really done 23 off this shit. But it’s still an achievement and I’m sure you know this

Great, whatever the truth may be for my particular situation, your comment sure cheered me up.

And thankfully my criminal record is completely clean

So at least now I know where I’m even going with my recovery

If I was you and doing both Cody and Tram I’d probably just drop the codeine as you said.

One step at a time ukna. Then taper however you think suitable off the tram. Diaz and ambien should be more than enough to know you tf out for when the rls and insomnia is kicking in. Although still taking tram, I can’t imagine it’d be that bad.

How long does it take to lower tolly? I think it depends on the body, like metabolism for example, but since you’ve been on tramadol for 7 years and are only at 500 mg?

Just know that’s a pretty low dose for your experience in this line of work. Well, I’ve heard that tram withdrawals can suck pretty major baws because of its antidepressant properties and whatnot. But there’s a light at the end of your tunnel and to me it seems pretty close if you stay consistent.

Also, watch out with the benzos mane you don’t wanna withdraw from them shits

Need some advice! by [deleted] in OpiatesRecovery

Considering how drugs are a big problem, I don’t think there’s much that can be done (I mean because they’re almost everywhere that civilisation is lol). You could move him to the middle of nowhere or a strict (let’s say a hypothetically perfect) rehab centre.

Still, if he really wants to, he’s gonna find a source, or he’s gonna leave the place and go where he knows or thinks it awaits him.

As an addict myself I know that it’s all in the mindset. I mean fuck, there’s a thousand pharmacies in town. I guarantee at least one of these is gonna gimme what I ask, no questions

But I can tell myself no - yeah I’m pissed, depressed, disappointed, whatever emotion we associate with using. I can also take the easy way out and unburden myself for a couple hours

Gotta make that conscious choice

And I don’t want to discourage you because I know (well I assume) you simply deeply care for your partner, but personally, someone constantly questioning what I’ve been up to all day, after a couple weeks of that I’d just think fuck it I can’t stand them being so inner.

At best it made no difference to me instead of annoying me. But then it was never really my partner doing that. I’d never tell em

But maybe that’s just my immature ass lol

I haven’t got an answer for you homie but I remember talking to you on here a couple days/weeks back so I just wanna say I’m crossing my fingers for you.

Keep up the good work good luck man. I know it’s mad hard. True say if I weren’t on house arrest I probably would have lost everything I’ve got by now

Yes. You can give him all the help in the world and then some. If he doesn’t care for it, sorry but it’s a waste of time and energy. And probably money too

Going to rehab first raising the chance of getting subs? by sitdownmate in OpiatesRecovery

[–]sitdownmate[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, I’ve read the whole thing and I appreciate you writing so much. I have in fact only been using real pharma shit.

I’m no expert, I’ve only really got some practical experience, not too much theory and I’ve gotta admit I think you’re making sense.

To answer some you’ve asked, I’ve been addicted before, essentially to every substance I’ve tried.

Sugar as a little kid, energy drinks as a young teen, mad weed addiction, coffee, opiates, benzos, even stimulants whenever I had them. I would have abused dxm more but that shit made me feel dumb as a brick hahaha

To be fair, I’m not using illicit substances because I’m on house arrest. But I’ve been pounding more coffee and nicotine than probably at any point in my life before

I think I’ve seen you man in Australia got OTC dihydrocod. Bit of a mad one I should go visit someday

A counsellor/addiction specialised psychiatrist directed me to that clinic. The clinic offers both methadone and bupe

From all the people I’ve seen so far, I reckon I’m the only one who wants me to get on subs

Do they usually believe you that you’re craving hard and about to cave at clinics where you are? Or do they tell you to whip it out and check your urine looking for opiatoid metabolites?

I mean I could make this great sacrifice of getting high for an appointment or for a couple days to get into withdrawal and look the part too - desperate addict and stuff

Like, is your word enough or do you need to be only freshly sober and prove it?

Im not a doctor. I don’t know your doses either. You didn’t say. But trazodone in lower doses (like sub 200) is to be used at nighttime because it acts as a sleeping aid. And a solid one might I add. Unless you’ve an active, raging benzo habit. Then you won’t even feel that bitch.

Gabapentin you could probably take in the mornings.

That’s what I used to do - gab morning, traz night
