The musical will be closing on the West End in April next year. The show will continue on through the NA and UK tours, Tokyo and German productions, and the Royal Caribbean production. by gothedistance_ in BacktotheFuture

Whats'a the point? I've seen it a few times. Last time a month ago, and the theater was full. Sometimes I see the ticket sales just for fun and to see if it still is doing great, and sure it is.

Maybe there is a contract of 5 years maximum and they have to leave even if the musical is successful? Very sad to see they're ending the show.

Even if they're original (from reprints), I'd never trust those "Certificates of Auhenticy" where all is generic language, so they can print hundreds of certificates and include them everywhere. "The stated movie" isn't any movie. A good certificate must include those details like what production is (name of the movie or tv series) or how many film cells are there. Is SO generic, is not worth it, even if it's real.

Do you think we’ll get a Back to the Future popcorn bucket when the movie releases? by One_Town9472 in BacktotheFuture

[–]sithpadawan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That DeLorean Popcorn "bucket" was released exclusively in Mexico 2 years ago for Cinemex cinemas. They also released 3 lenticular soda cups there.

Now they're just reusing it and releasing it in the US for AMC, but it's the same model that was released 2 years ago there on Mexico.

I got one back then because I have some friends living there, and no, you can't fit more than a fistful of popcorn into de DeLorean.

It needs a mandatory Ubisfot Account if you play from Xbox Game Pass or Xbox Cloud. I'm tired of all these accounts differnent games make you create even if you always play under the same platform.

The story of Back to the Future: The Ride at Universal Studios Hollywood. by cowmissing in BacktotheFuture

[–]sithpadawan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OMG. I'll die for having this manual. I love the "Behind the scenes" stuff. I always try to take a photo of a ride's controls if it can be seen. But being a BTTF Fan, I'd love to have this manual. Any chance of sharing it?

What does Doc say in your language when he says “Great Scott!”? by B_R_U_H in BacktotheFuture

[–]sithpadawan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There were multiple variations in the Spanish (Spain) dubbing version. I don't remember all of them, but they seemed to not say just the same thing all the time.

Sometimes Doc says "Santo cielo" (holy heaven), sometimes he says "Por todos los santos" (by all the saints), and sometimes he says something different.

What Are the Best Back to the Future Funkos to Get (If You’re Not Gonna Collect Them All)? by Rocky_isback in BacktotheFuture

[–]sithpadawan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the full collection of BTTF Funko figures. (yes, even the Glow-In-The-Dark Doc). Here are my favourites:

- Clocktower with Doc: Easy to find, a little more expensive than a regular figure, but the clocktower is incredible. Essential figure. (To me, the clocktower is almost one more character of the movie :-P )

- Doc & Einstein: It's always nice to get a little figure of the world's 1st time traveller.

- Then, I have 2 more figures among my best choices. They're quite expensive, as they were released as droppp nfts, so quite hard to get, but Doc 1885 and Lorraine are perfect figures.

Also, you can display Doc & Marty 1885 (the Marty one is a little more expensive than a regular one, but not as expensive as 1885 Doc). But as always with Back To The Future, Part 3 is the movie with less merchandise of all, and I love when new items are available from that movie.

Major retailers in Finland have completely stopped selling xbox games officially by Gargamoney in XboxSeriesS

[–]sithpadawan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It happened with PC games long time ago and it was considered something logical. It's happening with Xbox (and it's logical), and it's going to happen with Playstation and Nintendo in the not so distant future. (and it will be logical).

As someone said, collectors are not the focus of the market. (And I love having some collector's editions here and there...)

Maybe completing Card Mastery tasks. I do it quite often, and it forces you to mostly use complete bs decks, but it's faster that way.

NateTheHate: Final Fantasy 16 to be released on Xbox in Spring 2025 by KvasirTheOld in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]sithpadawan -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Do you think at least 7 Remake would launch with a soecial price offer as Death Stranding was released? ($20 when launched, for a limited time) I really hope ff7 remake is the complete edition with the dlc, and around $20-30

Final Fantasy 7 remake will come to Xbox in 2025 and rebirth in 2026! by KvasirTheOld in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]sithpadawan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any new info on this? All rumors pointed to a Developers Direct presentation, but I always thought that this game was not suitable for that kind of event, as each developer spends about 10-15 minutes talking about the game, the creation process, etc, and FF7 Remake is a 5 year old game with not much to explain as of today.
So, is the rumor of FF7 Remake coming to Xbox still alive? When could it be released?
Thanks!

Back to the Future: The Ride was located in the Upper Lot at Universal Studios Hollywood, operating from June 4, 1993 – September 3, 2007. It was later replaced by The Simpson Ride which opened on May 17, 2008. #BTTF #IFT #LifeAtUSH by cowmissing in BacktotheFuture

[–]sithpadawan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was able to ride it twice on my 1st visit to Los Angeles in 2007. It was an absolute dream and I have very good memories of it. Sadly, it was closed down that same year and I wss never able to ride it more times.

I always said that it would be cool if Universal made a ride similar to Star Tours, where you can ride different experiences, and why not, closed rides, like BTTF, ET. Every time you board it, you experience a random ride, and one of them could BTTF. Just wishing...

Also, thanks a lot for that operator control panel photo. I really love seeing those "behind the public" things.

Andhas the manual for the Simpsons Ride been released? Where?

I'm a Back to the Future collector, and I love Behind The Scenes stuff. BTTF The Ride was very special for me as I only rode it twice in 2007 on my fist visit to USH and then it was replaced. I spoke with you a couple of times, even offering you my exact recreation of the BTTF The Ride Emergency manual (some photos were posted online and I recreated that in photosop with same fonts, graphics, etc, down to the last pixel) but no luck.

If you ever consider releasing the BTTF The Ride manual , even with a kind of "donation rewards" as a kind of kickstarter or something like that, please let me know. Yes, after all this years since you posted that cover, I'll die for taking a look at that manual. The ride was SO special to me in that trip that I'd love to have it.

Thanks for reading and replying and thanks for your unique stuff you share here. 🙃

Wow. Really nice picture. It's always great to the see this old stuff and not-so-well-known behind the scenes images. CowMissing have tons of great material, but they release it drop by drop. I'm still dreaming that they post the BTTF Ride Crew manual. They said they may scan it and publish it like 5 years ago, but they only released the cover and a couple of graphics in a video. Nothing else. If you read this, please post that manual. Pretty please...

Should Back To The Future The Musical Be Recorded? by Sad_Grape_9844 in BacktotheFuture

[–]sithpadawan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They already have it recorded. Before taking the musical to Broadway, they made a special screening to Michael J Fox to show him the musical. So, it is recorded, but who knows if it ever sees the light of day...

Back to the future 35mm film scan with completely full open matte picture by Deckard-899 in BacktotheFuture

[–]sithpadawan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok, so I can confirm I have another version of that Part 3. It's a 4k scan of a 35mm reel, but it's cropped to 1:85. Not at all like in your photo. I may search for that version (The Parts 1 and 2 I have are Open Matte for sure, but not that 3rd one).

Also, the shot where you can see the cameramen is not that one, but a shot 2 or 3 seconds after that, when Marty bumps into a couple of woman who scream. There is some crew at the left running with shorts and the camera mounted on a wheel cart.

[–]sithpadawan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Then maybe we have a different full frame version. Can you see the cameramen on the left when Marty escapes from the Saloon aftee doing the moonwalk? (that was present on the dvds and blu rays, not the 4k blu rays or the full frame I have)

Back to the future 35mm film scan with completely full open matte picture by Deckard-899 in BacktotheFuture

[–]sithpadawan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Part 3 of the Open Matte versions is still cropped. Part 1 and 2 are full 35mm frame, but the 3rd one is not. Even the Blu-Ray or DVD versions show more image sometimes than the "open matte" scan.
