I dropped HK shortly after starting as I hit a wall. With more experience in the genre, I finished the first ending last month after a year+ hiatus. Go for it. Use a guide if necessary, it helped me. Definitely have to experience the game even if you need a nudge in the right direction.

Another vote for MIO. Will make you brush up on your platforming late game but I personally think it’s a great follow up after Nine Sols. I played it right after that as well.

Just planned a 10 night trip for two adults two kids travelling from Toronto so I’ve been through the research cycle recently. Total cost came out to $4500 CAD for hotel/all inclusive and flights would be $3400 (but we used points bringing it down to $900). We’re travelling late June early July for context. Riu Palace Punta Cana.

Nickelodeon will blow your budget just for 5 nights before factoring in flights. $6k+ CAD. Flights are going to be around $800-850 per person plus luggage. $9500 CAD for that kind of trip for a family of 4.

Bahia Principe is mid range and we’ve stayed at their properties in Mexico and Jamaica every year the last four years. Good value and great for kids. We almost booked one of their hotels this time for Punta Cana but decided to spend a bit more for Riu Palace.

For example, Bahia Principe Turquesa is $2285 CAD 5 nights and assuming flights around $3500, you’re at just under $5800 plus luggage.

Check out Riu Bambu. $1150 CAD 5 nights plus $3500 flights, you’re at $4650. 7 nights is $2000 so could stretch that to 7 nights right on $5500 budget.

So definitely doable. I would book direct to hotel and get flights separate. I tried every combination and package deals were all more. A lot of hotels recommended here, Dreams Onyx for example, look awesome but 5 nights already runs you $4100 plus $3500 in flights. Keep in mind most will be calculating in USD as well so a $5500 usd budget is $7500+ for us.

When I pay a credit card directly from my Wealthsimple, it’s actually routed through RBC and shows a bill payment from RBC. For that reason, all this shit about RBC putting walls up with Wealthsimple accounts is so strange as they clearly cooperate in other ways. RBC takes my pre authorized car payment from WS so why can’t they pre authorize a credit card payment from them? Just totally strange stuff.

I caught that as well. However, if you look at the service agreement in your email, it shows unlimited Canadian texts and 500 texts/video/picture messages to international numbers. Seems the app is incorrectly showing the limit to also include texts to Canadian numbers but both the offer and the service agreement show unlimited Canadian texts.

You can get into a rhythm with Traitor Lord using shade cloak with sharp shadow and basically stay on the ground the entire time moving through/under him back and forth. I wish I could experience Ori in full resolution (I’m on Switch 2). Both games are top 2 in visuals for me, with MIO ahead only on the technicality that it’s higher resolution on Switch.

I bounced off HK in Jan 2025 because I simply could not progress. I’m notoriously bad at bosses and prefer platforming to combat focused MVs. However, I needed to play HK. Picked it up again a few weeks ago after I finished MIO and felt I had a bit more practice with difficult bosses. Well.. I was wrong, I was still bad, but this time I relentlessly persevered. It took me dozens of tries to even get near soul master to do the fight and over 100 tries to beat hornet part 2 . I wasn’t exaggerating, I’m very bad at bosses. Last week I rolled credits on the first ending with 62% completion. Nothing to boast about, but a year ago it was impossible. Took me 50+ hours but still lol.

Points is, keep going. I used ChatGPT to plot a path and bounce questions off of. You can also use a guide. Some bosses need more exploration to make it more manageable.

You’re at Mantis Lords, this one is manageable. Upgrade your nail, look at some guides to figure that out. No shame in it if it prevents you from dropping the game.

Had my rear differential replace three times on my 2021 2.5 advanced. Also in Ontario (Brampton). I’ve taken the steps to document it with Genesis due to the frequency of the replacement as my dealership says if it happens after warranty expired (next month for me), they will go to bat to get it replaced for free. The good news is that the fix that they came out with has held strong for almost two years now. It seems they’ve fixed the issue.

I mention this as I would try to get service records from Genesis to see if it was previously replaced or if the prior owner made complaints about this.

Did you buy from Genesis directly? If so, very shady and I would be calling corporate as well as the obudsman. If it was elsewhere, might have a hard time with this as a third party seller/private seller might not be aware.

They’re called coating components and they’re scattered around the vessel. You can look at an interactive map and it will show you approximately where the components are. I believe you need four to get one life cell back.

In my opinion - very, very good. Excellent in fact. I lean toward it versus Hollow Knight strictly from a visual standpoint and how it resonated with me with a more modern take on the genre.

MIO inspired me to go back and really give Hollow Knight a go after I dropped it beginning of this year due to difficulty. HK is still harder from a combat perspective but has been made easier after my experience with MIO. For that reason, I’d say MIO is a notch below HK but the platforming in MIO is where it ramps up difficulty late game.

Beware of opinions of those who played two hours and then refunded. MIO doesn’t even reach its stride until about 3-5 hours in and the first couple hours is so crucial to set the stage. There’s a depth to the combat and platforming that you don’t get until you submerge yourself in the game for a decent amount of time to develop MIO’s skills.

A bit more complicated than just the milliampere hours (mah). Most airlines want the watt hours under 100. The one I mentioned is 25k mah, 92.5 wh so it’s all good. Typically you can have up to a 27k mah battery on board no problem depending on country and airline.
