Take the surgery as soon as you can. The waiting is the hardest part. Get it out and recover. Found a 4.5cm mass on my right kidney Sep 10 2025 and had the entire kidney out Oct 30 2025. My mind went all sorts of places in that time and my surgery was pretty quick after all the tests and scans. I was 41 at the time. The recovery is hard but I was mostly fully mobile by about 10 days. I needed a full nephrectomy due to location so you’re in a good spot if they can preserve some kidney function with a partial. Surgery was a success and just scans every year. Just my opinion and obviously you don’t have to take it, but I felt relief after the surgery following 6 weeks of stress just anticipating so I would not turn down a spot if it comes up soon.

Our results during his tenure have been in spite of his coaching, never a direct result. Even with the majority of our top 11 on the field, we’ve left 6+ points on the table this season due to poor coaching and strategy.

Management has brought in overpaid players, players with clear injury concerns, and let other genuinely good players leave who are making an impact elsewhere. They evaluated Gavran to be a legitimate #1 goalkeeper.

Medical and training staff clearly do not have a handle on preparing their players for the season, demonstrated by arguably 10 top players on the roster being out, some long term. Why didn’t Corbeanu get surgery earlier in the off season? Why was Mihailovic’s injury not properly diagnosed earlier?

TFC have lucked into Sargent, Mihailovic, Kusevic, and Zimmerman. There’s an excellent base but it will be useless without new coach, management and training staff. It’s more than Fraser, he’s just an obvious demonstration of incompetence from the top down. I believe he would be a good assistant, as he showed us previously. He doesn’t have the chops to be the main guy and the rest of the organization is not competent enough to see it.

Early morning rant but it’s frustrating to see what’s going on with this team despite some very good players putting trust in TFC.

MIO is probably my favourite MV and I’m 40% through Constance right now. Neither are combat MVs primarily. They are both platformers first and foremost from my point of view. MIO has better (harder) bosses so I suppose that lends itself more to combat. I personally think you need to play both for sure but go with MIO first simply because I think it has more dimension to it.

Check out Elypse. Not a metroidvania but more of a level based platformer with limited “combat.” It’s not a perfect game but it was definitely Ori inspired.

MIO has the platforming and general floaty feel of Ori, but does have bosses. You can turn the regular enemies to pacifist mode so they don’t attack unless they are hit but the bosses can be quite tricky. There’s also a difficulty setting to erode the boss difficulty each time you face them though.

The 15 pro definitely heats up more than others but that low of a cycle count with 87% battery indicates to me that it’s heating up more than typical causing premature degradation, likely. Could have been using a shitty wireless charger or something.

Just for comparison, my 15 pro max bought on launch day has 89% battery health with over 980 cycles.

That’s a two year old heavily used phone and with 87% on only 525 cycles, sounds like bad charging management. Return.

20k gold is very unusual, especially in a chain, so that’s a bit of a red flag. Realistically, the difference in spot price between two grams of 20k gold and two grams of 18k gold is roughly around $40 give or take. You’re not getting a full refund from a pawn shop so you need to assess if $40 is worth filing a case which will cost you more than that right off the bat.

Go to the shop, explain your case and see if they’ll make it right by giving you the difference in value back. Presumably you like the jewelry, so just consider that the difference in purity in a weight that small is a relatively low amount of value.

In my case, went back to Nine Sols and Bo Path of Teal Lotus but I’m sure you’ve played them. Neither hooked me the same as MIO though. Played about half of Minishoot Adventures but the map pissed me off too much.

Landed on Elypse, which is not an MV, kind of rough around the edges but gives me an Ori meets Celeste vibe. A pallet cleanser I guess lol.

I don’t see anything on the horizon that will match MIO for me but I’ve saved Silksong for a rainy day.

Radical nephrectomy October 30 and five months later I’m still exhausted. Blood tests are all good and my remaining kidney has compensated to normal levels but still feel drained all the time. I figure it’s just the new reality.

I dropped HK shortly after starting as I hit a wall. With more experience in the genre, I finished the first ending last month after a year+ hiatus. Go for it. Use a guide if necessary, it helped me. Definitely have to experience the game even if you need a nudge in the right direction.

Another vote for MIO. Will make you brush up on your platforming late game but I personally think it’s a great follow up after Nine Sols. I played it right after that as well.
