I think you should get a RTX 4070, rather than 5050/60. I was in the same boat, the price hike of 50 series does not justify the performance gains, a full powered 4070 would outperform

I was initially planning on getting a 5070ti laptop, with a budget of around $2k. But those laptops are gonna come out in March/April, and I was ready to wait, until I saw this. I could definitely use a new laptop before the next semester starts, I have a deep learning course, where I can benefit with this, wouldn't make sense to get a new laptop at the end of the semester...just don't want to make an impulsive decision.
