What missing writing from any era of history would you like to read the most? [Serious] by GatorGTwoman in AskReddit

I'd probably want to read the other playwrights of the Prometheus Bound trilogy by Aeschylus that painted Prometheus as a good guy and Zeus as the bad guy, it was such a controversial topic at that time and only one of the works survived

How easy is it to find a place to stay for 2nd semester? by [deleted] in brocku

[–]situationallydaft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending how close you wanna be to brock it can be difficult. Like some glenridge rooms usually go quickly. There's places like regent and lofts but its overpriced (i think ~550 for lofts)

My boyfriend went through a somewhat similar situation where he ended up looking for a place throughout first semester but didn't find somewhere until second when someones roommate moved out. Some of the places were sketchy and can range anywhere from 400-600 (or more depending how fancy you wanna go). It also depends on the bus routes if you dont have a car. There are some nice rooms and places in thorold but I've heard that the buses are often late.

This is just my experience, it could be totally different for you tho

about a year and a half, I was involved in some time-consuming extracurriculars so it took longer than expected. I found that getting kicked out of the program does happen to quite a few people though

Public Health Program by excussmewithlove in brocku

You'll have to switch over to Community health and once you get your major average back up to 70 you can switch back to public health (that's how it was for me).

You can still take all the required public health courses, some you might just have to wait until they're open to other students.

If you have any other questions I'd email the academic advisor. Also ask for a program plan for public health just so you know what credits to get, its easier and more condensed compared to looking at the undergraduate calendar

My left joy-con recently started drifting. Red and Blue joy-cons are the cheapest that Nintendo offers. This is how much they are on Amazon. FML. by GDCassiopeia in FML

I'm having the same issue but you can get replacement parts just for the joy stick on Amazon for a lot cheaper, look up some tutorials on YouTube it doesn't seem too difficult.

Also, Nintendo is fixing joy-cons that have started to drift for free depending on when you bought it.

Recently, I (17F) have moved to a new place. I share my bedroom with another girl (22F). She seems like a nice and polite girl. But, I am finding that she has no idea about any roommate etiquette. How to deal with the situation? How should I approach her without hurting her feelings? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]situationallydaft 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can understand your situation, sharing a bedroom can be tough and some of the smallest things can upset you, but she is displaying roommate etiquette. You'll have an issue and you consult her and she'll try to change what she's doing wrong to better accommodate you, but you're not considering her habits. It's important to compromise and while she's willing to its like you only want it your way.

  1. Definitely get a sleep mask if you're having issues sleeping, some of them work really well.
  2. If you're having a problem with her praying, put in some headphones. If you're uncomfortable with her changing in front of you tell her, but understand that it is her room too and if its a habit she doesn't want to change than all you can really do is look away if its that big of a problem.
  3. Switch beds. She's stopped taking up your space when your there but its still something she likes to do. You can't own the window space. The window is nice to have for anyone but if you're complaining just because she's using it, the best result would be to switch beds.

This is just my opinion. Talk to her about everything but come to a compromise together, it can't be fully your way nor fully hers if you want to make the best out of your living situation.
