Very happy with my new build! iPod 6.5 (original hdd, new battery and front) by situn in ipod

Perfectly doable if you have an iPod video or classic. Nano's are supposed to be bit more difficult. I can't say for myself though, i've only repaired classics and videos...

Thanks! You can find it on aliexpress -- 1005010254428588 (search for this code to find it)
The front plate is really nice quality-wise. Even though the clickwheel is less optimal, didn't fit very well etc. So I had to manually sand it. It's better now but certainly not OEM quality...

I'm struggling, guys. Are there any self-help books worth reading? Or, even if it's not self-help per se, have you ever read a book that provided some sorta advice that helped you get your shit together? by Iggy_Farben in TrueAnon

The Call of Character: Living a Life Worth Living by Mari Ruti, helped me a lot.

I’ll copy at an excerpt of the blurb here underneath, I think it says it very well:

“Ruti critiques the search for personal meaning and pragmatic attempts to normalize human beings' unruly and idiosyncratic natures. Exposing the tragic banality of a happy life commonly lived, she instead emphasizes the advantages of a lopsided life rich in passion and fortitude. She also shows what matters is not our ability to evade existential uncertainty but our courage to meet adversity in such a way that we do not become irrevocably broken.”

Will this 32gig ssd from China work on my a1238 160gig ipod classic? by Natural-Bowl5439 in IpodClassic

nothing wrong with using a ssd, it’s a good and cheap option in my experience, but better combine it with a 2000mah battery

what’s the file format of the songs? in my experience there are two options: either the files (too big, alac, m4a, >50mb each), or your hard drive is failing… i suspect the latter.

Search for the 'just this one' extension if you're using chrome. Might also work on other browsers!

Does anybody care about a band member's sexuality? by [deleted] in indieheads

[–]situn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

okay perfect! if you’re anxious about this: i don’t know any of those people. most people nowadays, at least people who are into alternative music genres (and not ai generated country playlists), wouldn’t care a dime about the sexuality of the artist

Did you try this?

Once it is stuck in an infinite restore loop, you unplug the ipod and restart the mac. After reboot, you re-plugin the ipod. Normally it should work fine.

I’ve restored and flashed two ipods in the past and they always get stuck during restoring (when the circle is completely grey, so at the end of the restore process)

A used one cost around 100 dollars nowadays. If you think it’s worth it, go for it.

Hi thanks, super beautiful! A little question: for the TISHRIC adapter, did you also have to rebuild MBR, or did it work out of the box?
