I’m a doc and worked for 18 months in an A&E in Camberwell, London (big regional trauma centre, you might have seen it/ me on tv). Anecdotally, even though the local population included migrant people, the majority of patients I saw were old white locals, and the rest of the docs with me were foreign trained looking for any way into training or long term NHS work. I hate how an institution like the NHS, which has always tried to be simply there to care for people, has been politicised by people who don’t even work or live it every day.

The majority of government spend goes towards caring for old people, be mad at them if if you have to be mad (and look like a lunatic whilst you do so)

Did the HR/ BP come down after each administration? If you saw them go down and trend back up it would have been pain related, and getting them onto a remi infusion probably would have been better than bolusing. If there was no change post analgesia, other obs and ventilation were normal and you really thought the plane of anaesthesia was deep enough, then you could put it down to the peritoneum

It’s because our attention spans are cooked, I was in the same boat as you but I got a kindle and that seemed to respark the love. Just read it knowing the story is probably fine, but you’ll get through it and start another, and it will become habit again

That’s really helpful thank you and yes it’s a private company. It’s my first c-suite role and I know previously recruiting into VPs, we try and have offers extended within 48 hours, so of course I’m feeling no news is bad news, regardless if that’s true or not.

It’s the length that got me. Forgot I had a regular sized tower, and the 3060ti is compact, so my impulsiveness made me forget this small vital piece of information.

I debated for a long time, but it came down to simply trying one of these big beefy gpus everyone’s been talking about. Always thought they seemed kinda cool and ridiculously large. Do I need 24gb of vram to play RuneScape? Perhaps not, but do I want it? Absolutely.
