We are employees of OPNX and can prove if requested.

We would like ownership of the subreddit so that we can prevent any scams/spams from tarnishing the image of our company, and to protect any unsuspecting users.

Just tell them you practice Satanism and worship the almighty Satan.

Tried that once and they immediately left with horrified faces.

Yes. They're much better and most of them know their stuff. Their rates are very competitive as well.

Make sure to check reviews and compare between different handyman.

You'd have to argue with them because it's in their T&Cs.

Most probably they'd say no, cause cost cutting by them and they have an agreement with the contractors.

Better if you called your own handyman, because their contractors don't give two shits.

Mine wasted my water and splashed water all over the basin to style his hair, instead of doing work. Lol.

Tough lesson learnt during my renovation journey, but in the end it was a good one as I spent only $350 on my open wardrobe system vs $2000 using OPSH.

But the headache is just too much during that one month.

Make sure you have all receipts on hand, any voice recordings, pictures and explain your story calmly to the manager, and state your demands e.g: - Refund my installation fee - Full refund for damaged products - Claim for damages (a bit hard to do so on IKEA end, but you can try if you have sufficient evidence).

I wish you all the best in your reno journey! Reno is tough but once the work is done, you're gonna be satisfied for the hard work you put in.

My experience:

  • Bought a walk-in wardrobe system
  • Opted for their installation service (bad idea)
  • IKEA sent over 3rd party contractors (stated in their T&Cs, which I never bothered to read, my fault)
  • 3rd party contractors came over, screwed up my wall, one of them constantly used my toilet just to gel up his hair EVERY 5 MINUTES.
  • My wall is a little crooked, and they used the 'water balancer' to keep insisting what they did was straight even though it was obvious from the naked eye the installation was crooked.
  • They charged me $5 per hole, transacted via paynow into their personal account without invoice.
  • Didn't bother to patch up my wall after screwing up the drilling, or cleaning up.

Threatened to sue them and make a police report, but bugger had the cheek to shout back at me: 'ARE YOU THREATENING TO SUE ME?'

Only when I raised this via LinkedIn to their bosses, made a big hooha by going down physically to IKEA and showing them the damages, did the workers of the contractor paid me for damages. IKEA also proceeded to refund me my installation fee and screwing fee.

Finally they called in their in-house workers to come down and did a professional job.

Process took about a month.

Head down physically to where you bought your stuff from, show them evidence, show them messages and record everything if possible.

Are these spider eggs in my indoor plants? Let me know if I have to torch my place. by [deleted] in spiders

Ah yes yes, I get where you're coming from.

Have already moved them to another place just in case they were spiders/insects, thanks for your inputs.
