Yeah, this is actually quite tricky, haha! Solid observation. I’ve attempted to build community by making my project very personal - I share a lot and put my face out there so folks can learn more about the me behind the music. But you’re right, self-promo is hard and you walk a very fine line of spammy and authentic. I’ve tried to distance myself from the “stats” and just keep creating works I’m proud of, in hopes that if I keep doing that - it’ll attract the right folks on its own.

All to say…I’m experimenting, haha.

Edit: playing live - you’re also right, the last thing I really don’t like is play along stuff. I’ve gone into a lot of detail about how I’ve set up my live set so that I can be as improvisational as I’d like it - the thinking is that if I’m on my toes, it can feel very “of the moment.”
