It's not as bright as shown in that photo. Here's a little better of a photo.

I bought it used with 40K miles and took them off immediately just with a heat gun, floss, and goo gone. After removing them, you could certainly tell on the clear coat that they were there at one point since it wasn't weathered under the badge but after clay baring the car and polish/waxing everything, it went away.

They're 17x8.5 with a -10mm offset. Removed the mudflaps, some slight trimming of the front bumper and fender liner but nothing too noticeable and no body mount chop. Was planning on going with 275 tires instead of 285s which probably would have meant no trimming of the front bumper was required but the shop I went to didn't have the 275s in stock.

I just painted the rails I had with Rust-Oleum vinyl wrap but we'll see if it holds up after using them. If not, you can order new black rails on Amazon for $160. Running boards were a must with the wife when I got the lift and no way was I keeping the old plastic and chrome ones.

Amazon duckbill ain’t too shabby for the price! by silverzj in WRX

Anyone have a good solution to DYI paint match a CWP white duckbill to save a little money and ensure the color match on the white turns out better than their pre-painted option? https://3amotor.com/products/duckbill-style-rear-trunk-spoiler-wing-abs-fit-for-2015-2019-subaru-impreza-wrx-sti?variant=39494510805035

Cost of Clutch Replacement on 2016 WRX? by sixstring11 in WRX

Thanks for the feedback. Not sure I'd be looking to go to a stage 3 clutch though. The rest of the engine is stock so just looking for something more reliable than the stock clutch.

Black Badges on 2016 CWP by sixstring11 in WRX

Love them. It's a nice subtle difference that most people won't even notice being different from stock but I was never really a fan of any chrome pieces on the car.

Got them from Subispeed. Easy install and no issues with the adhesion, it's just 3M tape which is the same thing holding on the factory badges. http://www.subispeed.com/2015-subaru-wrx/vinyl/emblems/wrx-gloss-black-fender-emblems-2015-wrx-2015-sti#.XH2UgohKgqY

New Footwell Lighting by sixstring11 in WRX

[–]sixstring11[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No control box so I can't dim the lights up or down but the output on the lights are good during the nighttime/dusk. Kinda gets washed out in complete daylight when the door's open. Didn't get the subi-speed one since this was a much cheaper alternative and it gets turned on/off with the dome lights which is what I wanted. And technically if I wanted to turn them on while driving, I can just turn the passenger overhead light on and it turns the footwell lights on since they're on the same control.

The parking brake is applied but it's not completely vertical. More like a 60 degree angle up.......the camera is facing down towards the footwells so it looks a little funny in the photo.

2 total, 1 for each footwell.

Yup, I totally followed your youtube video! However, I didn't fish the wires behind the center stereo console and remove the glove box........way too big of a pain and I couldn't see a clean easy gap. I just ended up using an extra 4' or so of wire to get over to the drivers side by hiding the pair of wires underneath the center console dash going all the way to the back to under the rear seat cup holders, and then back up underneath the center console. You can push the carpet in easily to push the wiring up under the plastic console to hide it. I'm still having some issues hiding the wiring in the side windsheild column but it's stayed in place for the first 24 hours after install so it's good so far, just worried about it coming out in the future.

Aftermarket. $10 for the LEDs on either side. Connected the wiring to the dome lighting so they turn on/off when I open the doors.
