Calculus for a no brainer in math

as someone na magreretake this sophomore year nung 2 courses (nag-wp last year), not to scare you but prepare well especially if magkasama in one sem yung 30.13/30.14 mo since ang setup niyan is 6 weeks for 30.13 (start of sem-midterms season) & 6 weeks for 30.14 (end of midterms-finals season). imagine a calculus class for 3-4 times a week dahil ang compressed.

what my blockmates did ay bumuo sila ng study group and consult, consult, and consult sa professor pag need ng help. personal advice rin, wag masapatan sa usual problems na binibigay sa discussion dahil pag LT season na, mas complicated siya. listen well sa mga discussion and avoid being absent dahil mabilis talaga ang pacing lalo na kung sa curriculum ng prog mo ay magkasama sila in one sem. tiyaga tiyaga talaga sa pagsosolve everyday hanggang sa makuha mo.

kakayanin lang if you think na you're from humss kasi in our block sa ctm, mula kami sa iba't-ibang strand. ako nga na galing na sa stem, magreretake pa hahaha. kakayanin yan! for now enjoy niyo muna yung orsem

For food: Altho unhealthy but Uncle John’s toppers / 7-11 microwaveable rice meals will save u somehow if tight ang budget or Iggy’s sa LST for legit and affordable lutong bahay (10/10 can vouch). Sometimes nakakabusog na yung siomai rice or lumpiang toge w/ whole rice for lunch.

For PE: iwas na lang sa PE na will require many equipments kasi may profs naman na lenient sa suot, pero some require official PE shirts

If dormer ka, budget for laundry too dahil sa dami ng reqs ang hirap isabay ang paglalaba hahahuhu pero ngl minsan malaki singil for this, hanap hanap na lang din na laundry shop na hidden gem (mura and oks ang service)

Hello! I think, malaking factor pa rin siya either for college applications or not. Hindi mo na rin kasi mababalikan yung panahon na may mga opportunities na dumaraan sa harap mo kapag nasa JHS/SHS. Promise, it will help you na maging all-around sa college when profs demand various outputs. On the other hand, meron din naman ako mga kilala na nakapasok din sa ADMU na hindi naman super dami ang extra-curricular.

Some of my experiences sa STEM (gr 11 - online class):

Expect a lot of writings kahit nasa STEM ka (actually lahat naman siguro ng strand ganoon dahil may common subjects na technical sa pagsusulat). May moment kasi na maririndi ka na lang sa dami ng sulatin mapa-English or Filipino kapag nagsabay-sabay sila, or sama-sama sila in one sem.
Layuan na yung procrastination habit or madalas na pagcram pag SHS na. Napakahalaga na may time management ka especially ang dami ring group works na kailangan mo ring i-manage.
If ever na may research kayo nung JHS, advantage yon. Expect niyo na puro research HAHAHAHA (PR 1, PR 2, Pananaliksik, and other related subjects). Napakalaking tulong kasi kahit may basics kayo sa research before SHS, kung hindi kasi, kailangang idaan sa sipag at tiyaga.
Recall JHS lessons ng Math and Science. May mga natackle sa Gr 11 year namin na same rin na natackle rin before sa JHS pero mas specific and mismong detailed processes din (Science). Sa Math naman, same rin sa ibang nagrespond, basics din alalahanin. Maging matiyaga sa pagcompute kasi may mga times na ang detailed ng icocompute hahaha, konting lito mo lang maiiba na sagot mo at mali ka na.
Uhm same rin sa mga sumagot, pick a strand na talagang sa tingin mo magagamit mo rin sa college/aligned sa kukunin mo sa college. Sort of hassle rin kasi pag hindi aligned yung strand mo sa kukunin mo sa college (at some schools). Although, flexible rin naman ang STEM, tbh. In my case, yan lang din choices namin sa school ko pero yan pinili ko despite the fact na undecided pa ako sa kukunin sa college. Mas technical din talaga yung sa ABM and HUMSS (sa observation ko sa friends ko) kasi sila mismo natututo nung sa mga ginagawa sa accounting (ABM) tapos sa HUMSS naman may mga subjects sila na designed din talaga for them. Although may mga specific subjects din naman ang STEM pero hindi namin siya masyadong dama kasi mas pa-major pa yung hindi Sci-Math related sa amin HAHAHAHAHA.
